Question about cameras seen on "Mythbusters"

I've seen a few episodes of "Mythbusters" recently, and I noticed that they've used a couple of consumer (not prosumer) grade cameras for close-up of experiments as they occur (for example, for the recent episode, they used two for a close-up of a fishbowl full of ice and water to test pain thresholds between men and women). So far, the only indication I've been able to see is that one of them looked like they had the word "Canon" on the hand strap. Has anyone been able to figure out what kind (including model/make) of the cameras I've seen?
