QMX Stargate Mirror

Yeah, okay for $40.

But Stargateprops sells two or three little gates.

I dunno, I just envisioned this to be bigger. My bad I guess.
 
I was hoping for a larger one myself, but the added mirror with the blue reflection piece is a very nice addition. Absolutely adding this one to my collection. I have mine on order at alter egos for a little bit of a discount.

I would like to see a super detailed model like the one from legends, but for the price this one is a steal. If they have added the extra detailed lining you don't see in other ones like the Diamond Select, it will be quite the replica for sure. They have noted they are looking to do a lighted one with electronics in the future, hope they get to run with that one as the defining piece for SG collections.
 
I was hoping this was going to be the same size as Xenoweb's gate. :(
 
I was wondering about the size, its similar to Diamond Select and Legends. Don't know if it is a licensing issue, scale for other items or what. Maybe even the mindset to what would fit with most book shelves. But for 45 bucks, I can deal with the scale this one. Trying to collect all the pieces for a DS one will run close to 120 and you do not have the quality of materials or the extras QMx is giving. I would like to see a larger one myself in the future or a full electronics one.
 
Hey Trip, would you mind snapping some pictures when yours comes in? I too looked at this on Alter Egos, but want to wait for a review before I plunk down the cash for it.
 
Looking closer at the picture it looks like the chevrons are just painted. It would have been cooler to have a translucent resin or something. But again, it's all about the price point.
 
With everyone including MiM seteting the date at March 7th, looks like a pretty good bet they should be on their way shortly. The second week of March, I expect to have mine hanging on the wall. :)

And yep, happy to try to post some pics when it arrives.

What is getting me is whether or not to place an order for Legends Zat gun. A well built model in an incredible display case. Or wait for the possibility of QMx doing the electronic one. If they do make good on the electronic zat, I am going to hate myself for possibley getting the Legends one.

yea I'd be curious to see the pictures aswell, want to get one but want to make sure it's worth it especially since I'm on an extremely low budget for props right now. Although if this one is good I'd rather get the electronic one they might bring out but it's most likely gonna be alot more then this one.

Would Love to get Xenoweb's but no way I'll be able to ever afford one, at least right now.
 
Xeno vs QMX :D (this may not be 100% accurate as I do not have the QMX in hand, but the scale is darn close). I'll probably pick up a QMX anyway. Wish they would have shot for it to be in scale with the Diamond Select figures, but I guess it will make a nice mirror.

Yep. Actually, the scal does work decently with the DS gear, but I would like to see a larger one myself. Again, I think the mentality was to make something nice that could fit on a book shelf as well the wall.

I could have sworn I read somewhere they were looking at workiung on functional Stargate products. A rotating lighted gate or something to that. Hope that it does come to frutition. It would be the ultimate replica if that's the case.
