It's not a bash QMx comment, just a comment on the price of the Serenity model...why can't a model be made that is less fancy (no lights and such) for a more affordable price? To me, as I suspect is the same for many others, $500 is WAY out of our spending range. It's cool that the fancy one will be available, but at $500 it's more of an "elite" only type of prop in my opinion.

Actually I was bowled over by the $500 price tag. I can't believe a 20" model is that inexpensive. Dude, if you think $500 is an elite type prop, go to a model shop and take a look at what a model that size costs off the shelf, and then figure in paint, primer, putty etc... $500 is a steal
as for lights and sound.... I'll pass. Don't make any sense to me to spend more money on something that will be turned on once every other year, and I'd rather avoid the issue of batteries potentially leaking, or having to display it near an outlet, etc...
Darthgoat apparently has decided that he is the official "blah, blah, blaher" of all things Qmx... I look forward to every post by Qmx being followed by a blah blah blah in the near future...
for the Qmx guys, I think your seeing the double standard of being in business.... you did the map, there were those that were unsatisfied, you attempted to rectify, and rather then "OOOO $5.00 for an unfolded map" you got "hey, this is supposed to be exclusive" which begs the question to the collectors, are you buying these as an investment, with all concern toward what you hope you'll be able to get from the collector that buys it from you, or did you buy these to enjoy, in which case, the offer of the unfolded map was more then generous....

That's how I felt. Im getting ready to buy a Falcon, and this badboy seems like a bargain compartively. Granted, it's not cheap, but for something of that scale, the cost is phenomenal, and a HUGE selling point to me. Hopefully the final piece can stick really close to that, if it doesn't stay on the money. Oh yes, pun most definitely intended. :lol
