Pyramid Court Battlestar

Here is my recent progress on a pyramid court. I'm going with 5 full size collapsible bounce off targets and a scoreboard. The full size targets are angled at the top and bottom at 45 degrees. "not exactly show accurate, but it makes for some better game play and I'm going off a concept artwork drawing I got off ebay. I'm looking for people to play if they can get a 3 man team together. The rules are pretty simple and I've since expanded them a little until "Caprica" helps out a little with more in depth rules. I'm in a Western suburb of Chicago if anyone is interested. PM me.

I put a ton of work into the AI for the logo and if anyone knows someone who can make patches I have it set up for a vinyl stencil. I will be happy to share the file if anyone that can run patches.

NICE! Can't wait to see more of it. Hey, if you want the "how to play" article that was in the discontinued BSG Magazine, I'll see if I can find a scanner, scan the pages and send them to you. I don't know if it'd help out (I can't remember how much detail about the game is discussed in the article), but maybe it'd give you a little more of a grounding on how to develop rules. Honestly, I can see you taking this thing to a convention, maybe see if you could set up a tournament where BSG fans can get involved (like how there was an area where people were sword fighting {with foam swords} at MegaCon when I went).

I would love to get this game out there. I actually have that article too. The rules in there are the base, but there is a ton of things you think of during game play with people getting pushed in the back right into the corner of the goal that we have to make up rules for on the spot for. That and goal tending seem to to the biggest problem. Example, If a team member gets to the middle of the court and gets the ball down in the safe zone, we established a lane that only one defender can square off in to block the offensive player from taking his next three steps toward the goal. I'm building so my buddy is supposed to be writing all this down, lol

I really think my collapsible design could let people build these things and we could set up leagues all over the place. I'm so in.

Very awsome, hop on over to TCF and check out all of our Pyramid stuff. There's a few people who have courts there as well. :) There's a link somewhere to the wiki and some rules, etc. me thinks.

Sadly I'm not a member... There is a lot out there I just never knew about. Up until someone one ebay told me about this site I didn't know that many of these places existed. I was just working in my garage trying to do every project myself, I feel like a moron. I could have been trading stuff I can do for stuff I can't.

Can you post up some picts of some other courts people have worked on or point me toward an email address of anyone that is trying to get a league going.

I'm 30 and decided I'm going to quit my job and become a full time professional pyramid player.

-- Look, you wanna know the truth? I don’t really care about the stats or the cup or the trophy or anything like that … in fact the game’s not that important to me, not really. What matters to me is the perfect throw, okay? Making the perfect catch, the perfect step and block. It’s perfection. That’s what it’s about. It’s about those moments when you can feel the perfection of creation, the beauty of physics, the wonder of mathematics, you know? The, the elation of action and reaction, and that is the kind of perfection that I want to be connected to.

That's awesome, Mr. Morden! (What do you want, by the way? ;))

Pyramid courts are springing up across the country. Pretty soon now, we'll see Pyramid on sportscenter. :):thumbsup

When you have a game day please let us know!

I've got a feeling that Pyramid is going to be one of the hottest media-to-real life games since the Jugger.

I see your around me Chronos, I'm going to have a game sometime in July in Wheaton. I'll make sure I post it up or PM you. I would love to get a few 3 man team to come out and play.

Moff Man, I am nmbr-six on ebay. Believe it or not it's a reference to The Prisoner and not BSG
