Ok got the right thread this time:facepalm

Got some shots of my armature for the probe droid.
Turned out ok. Still need to trim the ally rod and thread the top for a bolt but other than that it's done.

Part 2 and my start on the Karl box.
BTW what recommendation on glue to use?
Im thinking I'll go 2 part epoxy for the acrylic to ally but want something strong but no were near a thick for the acrylic to the vac pull.

I'm complicating my life by motorizing mine, but then again, motorizing the scratch build is way easier than retrofitting the resin kit!

Still a lot of work motorising the thing no-matter which kit you start from I'm sure. Looking forward to see what you come up with. Actually just found Weld On 4, This looks to have the viscosity I'm after. I need something thin so it doesn't bulk up the equatorial disc and the large disc at the base of the skirt. I'll get both to be sure. Anyone know if there available in Australia?

Bit more progress on the droid.
Got all the trapezoidal prism's attached. Looks ok so far. Next major part to get on with will be the karl box finished and attached along with the other bits on the skirt. Then I can move onto cutting out the armour.

Thanks Julian, Cant wait to finish the bottom half and get a coat of primer on. Any recommendation on brand of primer? Im asking due to never spraying on PVC or are the usual hobby primers fine?

They should work fine yeah, I use Tamiya gray primer.
