Pro-Shop X-Wing - COMPLETED - Obscene number of pics

Well son of a.......
There's that Falcon again in the background! Just have to rub the less fortunes nose in it, huh?

Just kidding buddy!!

Great job again! You do fantastic work and this one is another example!!!:thumbsup

What scale is it ? How does it compare in size/accuracy to the Ertl/ATM kit ?

This should answer that question. From left to right:
1. Crappy, smallest AMT/ERTL
2. Most common sized AMT/ERTL
3. Pro-Shop AMT/ERTL
4. Near-studio-scale

I never knew the Pro-shop was that much bigger. I remember when they came out thinking it was the Ertl/ATM kit with lights and motors, not a new kit.

I might have to dig around for one. I have 3-4 of the Ertl kits unbuilt.

I'm not sure if you've got a white balance issue in your photos or not, but you've got a yellow/green tone in a lot of areas on the X-Wing that's definitely overly so? Is it the photos or?

Which areas, specifically Mike? Let me know, and I can respond accurately as to what colors I used, and how the photos compare to the eye.

The ProShop kit is underated in my opinion. In the size catagory it's a good bit bigger than the biggest AMT kit. The cost can swing to extremes on the Bay because it has lights, sound bites and motors (junk). Detail wise, it's like a blown up regular size AMT. Money for detail was diverted to making the special features it seems. But, with a decent paint job and some parts box detailing, it does builds into a very nice kit I think. For me, I wanted something larger than the standard AMT to practice on before I built my Salzo kit. I picked up two ProShops, built one and gave it away. The other is still in the box.:)

It's nice to see your Hasbro along side the kits too!

Apparently posted from a site called wackychimp.com. Must have closed the account - and along with it - the pics as well.

Would have been nice to see them, I have a pro shop winger , undicided what to do with it

I was also hoping to find them! Hence digging up the thread...

I do have all the pics I took, but don't recall which I posted, and cannot find any of my build process (all the pics I have found are of the completed model).

I'll post a shot or two later this evening when I get home.

Here is my old ProShop build. That's the Moebius Raider next to it to give a sense of how big the ProShop is.
