Re: Paper prop Thread

ive been looking for it for a long time, and i thought i saw it here a while ago but couldnt find it anywhere when i searched.... does anyone have the hellboy ww2 group photo?

I don't have that, but I do have these I worked on last week on a plane.
(I've been hellboy obsessed lately)

I saw this:

http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/2628/hellboyidcardsgc1.jpg

and made all 4 ids!

I don't know the exact sizes. I haven't yet sourced the correct clear vinyl sleeves (note the plastic , not metal, clip button, and horizontal hole).
I'd love to know a good source if anyone finds it. And the photos aren't right. It'd be nice if they were more correct. But they were the best I could do under the circumstances.

I left the signatures unsigned, to let you sign yours.

Oh, I also saw this:

and made this:

I've cast one of my samaritan bullets, and plan to fire up the vacuum former next week. I'll be making some bullets in blisterpacks!

Enjoy!

Re: Paper prop Thread

I'm also looking for the photo. That'd be great. And I haven't figured out the font for the SAMARITAN writing on the samaritan case.

Re: Paper prop Thread

Oh yeah,

I also made a sheet from the BPRD Personell file. Complete with stamps!

It's meant to print nicely onto an 8.5" x 11" sheet.

Here are the stamps by themselves:

Re: Paper prop Thread

Ahh, crap.

Here. And this one has no stamps so you can put them where you.

Re: Paper prop Thread

Errr... Adam, the same typo also exists on the last line at the bottom of the form:angel.

Re: Paper prop Thread

Can you make that a triple? :lol "Certified personnel..."

Many thanks, Adam!:thumbsup

Re: Paper prop Thread

Here's a better copy that looks like more like a real photo (not so bright). On the one on my wall, I used photoshop to add faded edges so that it looks more like it was in a frame for sixty years.

Hellboy.jpg

This pic measures 9.5"x5.25" on my computer screen, but the file is 10"x5.5" and looks real nice printed out.

This was posted before...

Click the photo below for a much larger version. (4200x3000 pixels).

Re: Paper prop Thread

how many different variations of this picture are there? becuase thats not the same photo that nick horror posted

Re: Paper prop Thread

Mine is a screengrab that I touched up in photoshop to make it look like a real photo (based on a picture of my grandfather and his buddies taken in Guadalcanal) with accentend shadows and false film grain, as I said, to simulate the frame-aged look.

I really think the other one is too bright--too digitized.

Here is a screen cap of the picture and it matches the version that nick_horror posted (notice the soldier on Hellboy's right is smiling in the screen used version).

EDIT: What nick said. :)

Re: Paper prop Thread

Hey guys - just wanted to clarify something about the group of four BPRD ID badges that Adam found the pic of... Adam was not aware, and I'm not sure if anyone else was aware, but they're NOT from the film production. Those were created by some dude that goes by the moniker "old tobby" - he has some Hellboy stuff over on YourProps.com. Anyway, he lifted the layout of the ID almost verbatim from an ID that I did way back in 1999 and posted online on my collection page:

5947887.jpg

He even replicated the pattern in the signature area at the bottom - what he didn't realize however, is that what I actually did on the pic of mine was blur out my signature with a Photoshop filter (since my real signature is on the ID, and I didn't want it to be legible).

Yeah, it sucks, and there's really nothing that I can do about it - other than bring it to everyone's attention - but it still pisses me off. I have no problem with my stuff inspiring others to be creative - that's great... as long as you put some actual work into it and come up with your own stuff. But if a guy is just gonna be a lazy **** and take ****... :angry

Re: Paper prop Thread

I hate to ruin the thread by making requests but..............

...Has anyone ever seen or made a Handbook for the recently Deceased cover from Beetlejuice? It looks simple enough to copy.

Re: Paper prop Thread

So, has anyone ever attempted the "big Format Book" from Raiders that has the Ark illustration?

Now that would be a very fun, but labor intensive project as you would have to make up 99% of the content.
