JAEGER, how long did your CamoSkinz order take? No sign on mine, tried contacting them at two email addresses with no reply. Good work on the vest!

Got my pouches in and now have the vest fully assembled. Need to start weathering when I get ahold of the right stuff!
Rail is pretty close to what it should be. Need to finish that off once the screws come in. Will be machining the barrel extension next week.
Still no sign of the Marui drum magazine, though.

ReisMakes my camo took two weeks to get to me from camoskinz. At the two week period i sent an email for details as i had none and oddly the next day it showed up.

As for the vest, you may have your preferred method of applying weathering effects but all i did to mine was mix two parts black and rust red spray paints with very little mineral spirits and applied it to my rubber gloves and just rubbed my hands all over the vest. was a simple 40min process.

also, for your drum mag. Since you have machined the front block for the AA12 could you also make a dummy drum mag out of the same wood?

Went to hobby lobby bought some 1/4 wood....traced my knife and now I have a con safe knife.

Im looking through my ref pictures and i cant seem to find a good clear shot at where Royce attaches his machete sheath. Is it on his trouser belt or vest duty belt?

I've made good use of the Bank Holiday weekend! Went from a pile of bits to something that is MUCH closer to Royce's AA-12.

I got a refund from CamoSkinz after a PayPal case. I never received the wrap I ordered mid February.

Man that sucks big time! Sad they can't operate a company and get you your product, I feel bad because I got mine but you didn't. I do have spare but is nowhere near enough to to cover another AA12.

Thanks for the link Fett! The truck camo is definitely an option but that would leave me PLENTY spare for the price tag. 3M Vinyl though, so it will sure as hell be good stuff.

JAEGER, It's unfortunate but it is what it is!

I think it's time for me to look into hydrographics. It may end up cheaper. I have to consider import costs on that Truck wrap with me over in the UK!

Ahh didn't realize you were in the UK. Goto a sign shop have them make it? Like some place that does vinyl wraps for cars?

Quick update. I've been doing a lot of browsing within the UK to find either a suitable vinyl or a hydrographic film that is close enough for my taste. I've stumbled on this green varient of UCP style digital camo that will work perfectly!




Now to get a quote from them. Not expecting it to be cheap, but it's one of the last major components.

As mentioned before I will be using this for airsoft as well as con. I'm very excited to say a new site has opened locally to me in London - inside a boat! I'll be able to use the Marui AA-12 indoors whilst looking as badass as Royce!

Pretty bummed, Megacon in Orlando has the strictest weapons policy ever....no replica firearms allow that are made of resin....think they'll buy that its not resin and that its a wooden replica? Or that its foam filled resin lol....

I'm very happy to say that my incomplete costume got me into a national Airsoft magazine! Still waiting for the drum magazine release. I've decided to wear the gear naturally, by diving around the woods playing airsoft in the thing. Stinky? Yes. Fun? Hell yes.

FYI - the drum magazine for the Tokyo Marui AA-12 is now available from Hong Kong airsoft stores.


I got my drum about a week ago and been talking with Wilde Custom Gear re their Royce pouch/panel set to confirm the drum pouch dimensions and to place an order.
