Im surprised no names have been confirmed, as the PREDATOR suit actors yet, i know mears has been mentioned, but nothing has been confirmed has it?

Personally think hes too short , but i guess camera angles etc can give him a few more inches. as long as whoever they pick moves like the Predator SHOULD MOVE , ie KPH and IW in AVP-r i dont care.

Been abit worried about some of the news on this film - black super predators etc

But with Adrien Brody on board I'm alittle less worried - I'm still mega hyped about this film whatever I hear though.

Well looking forward to images of the new preds, masks etc. An all the models toys etc.

I just hope that they're not spending all their energies on getting named actors and ignoring the need for a strong story and good Preds. What we've heard about the plot so far is textbook B-movie crap. We really need some "leaked" pics! I still think they're ****ing up having it on the Pred homeworld. Very bad move.

It could be a moon orbiting the Predhome world.
Who knows the "Pred home world could be a system of Planets that they inhabit.
1 for home, 1 for shopping malls, 1 for big game, one for xeno hunting,...etc

All told, it sounds pretty good, lets hope they don't kill it in the process of the producton: ie FOX interferring again!!! B)

I don't think its THE pred homeworld. From all the things we've been hearing from the different sources everything seems to be a bit different. One says homeworld, one says its a homeworld "type" for them. But sources within RR's camp say its not THE homeworld, just one of the many that they inhabit and this one they use for training and big game hunts. Whatever. I just wants some pics, lol.

see, already supposedly official info in various interviews and articles etc are contradictory and plain wrong, as in the never-before-seen comments. this smacks to me of people making it up as they're going along, or a not very well thought out script, as people point something out to them and some comment like that is quickly made to try and justify the plot point. they've already binned the canon Pred behaviour of taking selected prey out themselves by having dogs and falcons, this is just confirming to me that the script was NOT written by anyone w/ a love of the Preds.

I've been thinking the same thing. It seems right now that only certain actors are locked, and the plot is pretty iffy. I hope that they pull all this together and start making some solid "official" statements, as in definite information, or this may get pretty messy. I still don't like so many human characters and the Super Pred idea, pred dogs, falcons, Pred homeworld, "survivor" hiding in a cave, etc. It's starting to sound like a total crapfest. They're gonna have to make a superhuman effort to pull this off judging by what we know so far. I would really like to see a Super Pred just to see the design. I fear another below par Pred film based on what little we know. I just hope that we get a big wonderful screaming surprise!

I just think Adian Brody issuch a bad idea. Im glad they got a kown accomplished actor, but really? hes not an action star. Hes an "awkward" character.

Was gonna mention that (knew itwoud bite me in the arse), but he didnt contribute much as far as the action/hero goes. He was a writer. So he can pick up a gun and shoot here and there. Still doesnt seem to fit a replacement role for a character such as Arnie. You know?

Ok ..did you ever see Daniel Day Lewis in "My Left Foot" then in "Last of the Mohicans" ..I'm just saying dont always worry about the typecast. Actors ACT ..its what they do ...if they are good, they can surprise you. Brody is good..

Its no good people bashing on about competing with Arnies role, there are NO actors of his size about anymore. we have to move on and drag the action hero into the 21st century heheh

although im still concerned about Brodys ability to be a action star, im hopeful that because "at least he CAN act" he has a chance, put that beside the fact he lobied hard apparently for the film, meaning he either loves the Predator franchise, which is good, or he wants to reinvent himself , which again is good as hell put all his effort into it , or there would be no point doing it. ( well thats what i hope anyway )

Trying to resevre judging the super black predator idea they mentioned until we see some pics.

I wonder if KNB will release a MAKING of book like ADI has done, cant see it but i hope so

I still see Gilligan when I look at him. I guess he could fight the Super Preds off with that beak of his! I just hope he lobbied for the part for the right reason (he's a Pred fan) or he really wants to do a good job. Remember, most of his fighting in King Kong was against CGI critters. That won't work if they do a Pred film the way a Pred film is supposed to be. I just hope we're all glad when we finally see some pics and get some more solid information. I wish someone would leak something already!

It sounds like there going in a different direction, and just think allready theres new pred suits and new designs being finished out there we haven't seen yet, i hope we get a new book, both ADI books were a great read and cool referance

yeah but daniel glover was in top gun, escape from alcatraz lethal weapon, silverado, so he was already on his way to become an action movie star.
