Predator2 mask Journey FINISHED.

Hi Lee
What I like about your work, is that you dont rush your work, and that you listen to us.
This is becomming more and more accurate.

I have some studio pictures that I can send you, I belive I still have your mail adress.

how long have you come with your elder sword?

Did someone mention Silicone? Becareful what urethane you use mate if you're going to do a plat sil mask, tinsil is pretty reilient in this case but plat sil can be a bit pick...Alwa S3 is a good 'un.

Nagash, i think i have all the pics thankyou not alot will change from now on in, on the lower half, and minor tweaking on the head.

The elder sword im struggling to get a finish that actually looks like steel.

I may do a few bits on the wall this week as it happens, so ill update that thred when i do.

Mav, thats my next project, a fair few months off i think.

no doubt youll see me screaming for help when the time is right.

wow! man this looks awesome i´m very impresed whit the way you work , each project make you better and better
inspires me too work more hard and go pro.
i´ll be waiting to see it finished

The major details are all in, looking fine, oh yeah. It'll be interesting to see how the little creases and textures you add to this bad boy soften the edges to a point where we're looking at a biological entity in "slightly pissed off mode".

As for the neck, I know you've added detail to it, but I would be concerned about it shrinking as-is in the casting process. To make it easier to slip on and off, I would build up the neck a bit more to compensate for that shrinkage. Please tell me you're not going to sculpt the neck ring onto the mask - big no-no. You want it to be separate, so the mask can turn left and right with greater ease.

The sculpt is looking awesome, Lee!!

I've nothing to say that has not already been said, other than this P2 sculpt will be the one that all us hunter's can dream of owning one day!

Carl,
The neck is already just over 20 inches, BUT it looks slightly too small, so plan on building it up some more around the front and side area as it looks little thin like you say, i hope do to that and the rest of the shaping towards the end of the week .

Hell no i will not make the neck ring at ALL,and if i did it would NEVER be attatched to the mask. TMI made a spot on neckring so ill just try and get one from him when im done.

Ive been away from the lair for a bit, life **** n such, last time I was on lee was just finishing the wolf, and man was I impressed by that thing, the P2, is my second less favourite pre, but dude honestly, you blow me away with it man its awesome, I cant wait to see what youre gunna do with it, I love it when people put their own touches to a sculpt, aslong as its in keeping with the character y'know no third eye or retractible head arials and such, so hats off to you surps, its gonna be a beautiful beastie. So Im not gunna judge or offer any critique because thats all up to you innit Lee! Amazing work man.

p.s. first thread I read when I came back and man I wish I'd never left, the biching is sooo fu**ing funny.

Well ive had a odd 30 mins here and there over the past couple of days, whilst waiting for work in the evening, and ive settled on a mouth position.

Also amended some stuff and dimensions on the forehead, so not a great deal will change on the basic shape now. NO doubt i will change and reshape things as i go ( well i did on wolf so i do not see this being any different ) so expect some minor change to things, but nothing more major.

1st is a sideon pic, as Chris asked for one.

2nd is a front on pic to show the decided mandible position.

and 3rd is another sideish view to try pic up the right cheak detail ive started. The dred hole details have not be smoothed as yet, and as far as i can see, the P2 does not have a heavy cheak detail like the P1, so i just have to add some sort of skin texture.

I intend on doing the whole head in the heavier textures in the next week or so ( time permitting ) ill post when that pass has been done, before i do the final runs of finer details.

the mouth details and shape of the head are DEAD on bro....

the "roar" is so badass

I must have one....but you knew that already

Andrew

Btw, I hadnt noticed until Maverick pointed it out, it appears the upper left mandible is more closed than the right, thats because i must have knocked it when i moved the sculpt to take the photo, its fixed now as youll see in next update.

but thanks Mav
