My 2¢----
Lee, with this sculpt, you have definitely moved into the pantheon of accomplished artists on this board. Don't worry about reworking the piece, unless you're on a deadline, let it take as long as you need to----it's gotta be right----in your eyes, and in your comfort zone. (This is the part where I've just opened myself up ) Personally, I find nothing wrong with the mandible position the way it is. I might suggest that at this point you curtail your progress posts on this project until you're almost done. You know what you're doing.....
In going for screen accuracy, why not post a P2 head photo next to yours shot at the same angle? Any questions the observer might have would be immediately answered. Speaking of which...
Simian, while you might think your observations and input to Lee are helpful, but there's a fine line between frequent input and ball busting. It's just human nature. As for your sculpt, my opinion is that the head is sloped a bit too tall, and the dred sockets are too big. They should be around 1" in dia. Those golf balls are about twice that. I don't believe anyone who sells dreds make them that large. Other than that, it's looking good, you've captured the look, can't wait to see more details. Are you using water based clay? Hat's off if you are, it's more difficult than oil, I find.
