PREDATOR/PREDATOR 2 Action Figures from NECA

I would assume that yes, the classic is the original in the Predators line, but what has me confused is the weirdness of this figure coming out first as some version being "re-used" for a line, then later coming out as it's own rightful place. I just find that sort of weird.

Perhaps I worded it wrong when I said I was confused. I'm just saying it's a little bit weird. I hope there are some significant differences in the two versions, but who is to say how exactly they will be, from what my contact told me they may have given him the bird like feet of the new design in the movie. I hope they left him exactly the same, but won't be suprised at a few changes.

well i think, it's gonna be enough of the same style to say that is the original design, but for some reason i get the impression that the armor, more specifically the bio, will be different from the original,
armor pretty much the same, new bio. not sure of anything else that would differentiate between the two besides the fact that it doesn't have the same skin pattern as the original, similar, but not exact at all, so they should make for two pretty different figures, plus the new "old" version may have a couple new weapons i don't know, but damn i cannot wait!!!

If I know NECA, these'll probably be $40-50. Amazing prices.
I already have the Hot Toys 14" P1, so I'm crossing fingers for the 9" versions (which they HAVE to make, I mean it's their bread and butter). When those come out, I'm getting 'em all. Plain and simple. Should cost me around $14-17 each, so about fifty-something bucks to get 'e, (I'm counting the P2 Pred that has yet to be mentioned, but I know they'll do 'im).

well i just got my fingers crossed on that one i guess, i pre-ordered mine earlier today. (i check bbts almost daily)

My understanding is that you get the all 3 Predators for $50? I'm definitely pre-ordering these due to the fact of making the mistake of not getting the Celtic, Scar, Chopper, and Elder. Now they are worth a whole hell of a lot more then then they were while they were on the shelves.

in the Robert Rodriguez intervew he mentions the reaperance of the P1
so thats why they showed that figure resembling

Yes, I know that.

But it's not a reappearance of the actual P1, it's just a Predator that resembles the P1 Pred.

So, to just reuse the P1 figure doesn't seem quite fair as far as these figs are concerned.

I was hoping for a whole new sculpt for the "captured" Pred.

yes I hear you friend , I wish they concentrate on the 3 predators shown on the new movie
