EDITED TO ADD ON 10/12/10:
All he basically needs to do is finish the right gauntlet and it will be ready for molding ... then paint!

More progress shots from Scott.
Check out the lower back and belt:
Here is a shot of the back ... look at the exposed shoulder blade area:
I'd say in less than half an hour he sent me the following photo - he refined the skin detailing of the shoulder blade area ... amazing!!!
I received these this morning ... the straight lines and circular port look damn near perfect to me!

Scott has begun sculpting the torso for my bust. He'll be offering these in both resin and latex versions. Here are some gradual progress pics.
This is from about 2 weeks ago:
A days worth of work and detailing later:
Another day goes by:
Further detailing:
Beginning the gauntlets:
Test fitting the head:
Some more detailing and another test fitting:
And I received these shots this morning:
I'll post more progress shots of the torso if anyone is interested.
Once this is done he'll be working on some legs ...

Thought this might be of some interest to all of the Predator fans here.
I've always been a fan of 'The Elder' that showed up at the end of Predator 2. There have been a lot of great looking Elder sculpts over the years but this one really caught my eye when I stumbled across it over at 'The Hunters Lair'.
This is an original sculpt by Scott Marshall and he offers them in several different options - as a raw resin bust (w/teeth and quills), a raw laytex mask or fully finished in either resin or laytex.
I contacted Scott and picked up a resin copy and asked him to finish it for me. He's a pleasure to deal with and provided me with lots of progress pics on a near daily basis. He also had no problem incorporating any of my ideas or suggestions throughout the entire project.
I figured he was at a point where I could start sharing pics. He has begun installing the dredds and adorning them with beads and bones. The paint work on the bust itself is pretty much done:
What do you guys think?
BTW, I figured I'd help Scott out and if anyone happens to be interested in this just shoot me a PM and I'll send you Scott's contact info.
