Dorohedoro - Gyoza Fairy - Sculpt and 3D Scan

Been working on a sculpt in 1:1 scale for a while now and finished it about 2 days ago. There are still some issues, but I decided to 3D scan it and fix the issues on the 3D model.

Here's how the piece looks in the manga. The anime version has a bit slimmer arms and hands and more squarish features, which was the reference I worked with. I think I'll try and work in some of the dopey-ness of the manga version with the fatter arms and hands.

And this is the 3D scan of my sculpt. I got help with finding the right length Japanese long style toothpicks by MovieFreak here on the forum. Thanks again mate.

The Shining Einstar had some trouble with the finer details such as the hands and the areas under the arms, but the rest was captured pretty well - I will fix these on the model as well as opening up the left hand, so it can hold the toothpick like the sculpt, before printing.

For those who don't know what it is from: it is a part of the insane manga and anime world of Dorohedoro, where people get experimented on by sorcerers. And one of the main characters is on the hunt for his past and the one who cast a spell on him, turning his head into that of a lizard, by shoving their heads into his mouth and have the person inside there comment on whether they are the one.

You can see it on Netflix, but because it is on there, there still hasn't been a physical release.

The Gyoza Fairy is seen in one of the segments of the OVA episode at the end of the season.

Thought I could show some progress pictures of how I did this one.

I forgot to take a picture of the finished sculpt. Will do that later.
