Power of Earth Magnets??

Ok, I've searched the Lair for everything "rare earth magnet" related. Fantastic uses for them indeed!
I have been searching the web for places that might sell them, with much luck! My problem and question is:

What "power" is good?

I mean when ordering almost all companies inquire as to "what power".
They range in : Pull strength from less than a pound to 6 lbs.
I don't want to purchase some that are too strong and potentially rip the
latex or damage anything else for that matter.
Any thoughts???

if you're talking about attaching a bio to an undermask, i'd imagine some of those small, round refrigerator magnets found in the arts and crafts department should work.

but if you are talking about aligning your chi and separating negative energy from your blood, you need a bracelet

actually, what need to do is go to ebay for the best price, and search for "Neodymium magnet" which is the name for the rare earth magnets (which by the way can be found in old hard-drives if you have any old ones laying around), and there you'll find all shapes, sizes, and strengths. I have a few I'm goin to use to attach resin weapons to my suit and they're about a quarter of the size of a penny and round, and each one will hold 2.5 lbs. which is more than enough to secure no more resin than that, so I would suggest the same for a bio, because they're small enough to hide, strong enough to hold, and yet not too strong so they won't harm the latex. I'm using some about the size of pennies that hold 5 lbs. a piece to hold my staff retracted onto my back, just to give an idea of what you need for what loads. Hope that helps, and the prices are pretty damn good for a bundle of those on ebay, just make sure to switch over to buy it now, since they usually cut you a deal it seems.

 That just helped give me some really great ideas how to fix a few areas I've been having trouble in!!!

Thanks bro'!!!

not a problem at all, just passin on the info, can't take credit for the idea at all, I read it on here somewhere, this is the greatest place on the internet, I love you guys, lol. and I think it was you who made the staff from the tri-pod? if so I owe you thanks for givin me the idea of how to make my own, which turned out great I think, I'll post pics when I get my suit in and get it all mounted.

WOW, cool! Thanx Diesel. That was what I was wondering! What I get from it:
weigh your bio and purchase accordingly ie.
bio weighs 2 lbs
buy 4, 1/2lb. pull magnets.

Right or wrong?

Yeah, I remember reading that post a while back as well, but for some reason the idea didn't "click" until I was reading your post. Yep, right on D...I was the one who made the spear out of the camera tri-pod. I'm happy to hear it worked out well for you! Lookin' forward to those pics too!

Damn, how I love this place!!!
