Potter collection and question

Hey there,

Maybe you are missing a replica of the original letters Hermione Granger received in the first movie when the owls drop off the post/mail for the first time in the Great Hall? I've got the originals and I'm thinking about letting them replicate for the fans that want to have them in their collection. Maybe that would be a great addition to your current collection shelf?
Maybe I can open a new thread to discuss this with other Potter fans like you and me to see how many fans would appreciate this.

let me know if you're interested in this.

Kind regards

William

That would be a godsend! Thanks! :)

Oh, you definitely have room to enhance that shelf. IMO, I think it really needs some color; something that will really make it pop.

I have picture collage of my guest room that is decorated in a Harry Potter theme. The picture is a few years old and bit outdated, but I haven't taken any updated pictures lately. Anyway, you might get some ideas about color from it.

Hello,

So you think if I let a professional replicate the original letters from Hermione Granger and limit them to 500/2500 pieces you think a lot of fans would want them?

Kind regards

William

Most of the stuff is from Noble (whose customer service BLOWS btw),

Ah, so I'm not the only one whose had issues?? I've given them a list of items I'm looking at buying which add up to over $3000 and want to know what shipping would be to Sydney Australia and a week and a half later still heard nothing from them about it..

Absolutely pathetic, you'd think they would be jumping all over buyers with BIG orders.. Wish someone here sold the Noble Collection..

My suggestion would be to do something on the back wall of the shelf. Something like I did in this thread...

http://www.therpf.com/f9/my-mothers-custom-wand-christmas-102502/

The wand boxes in the background are approximately screen size....they are merely 1" deep. very easy and inexpensive to make really... and adds a very nice touch of depth.

Oh, that is such a clever idea! Its really one of the most interesting ways to enhance a shelf or shadow box that I have ever seen. Well done, indeed!

I think its a shame that more paper props are not matted and framed, I think that it really brings certain authenticity to it all. I have the Marauders map and I sprung for the nice frame with the front door and I am so glad I did.

Hmm, I've got the Hermione and Ronald Original Mail Pieces framed in a display. But the marauders map should not be framed from my point of view. But everyone got his own perspective on framing or not to frame.

Your shelf looks very good, it might be nice to add a pair of round glasses sitting open just slightly on the map, you don't even need the Noble one's I have a pair that cost very little from a costume store and they look great. How about for a little colour, Bertie Botts Beans, chocolate frogs or even just a few of the cards, maybe even a house patch. Have you tried http://www.therpf.com/f40/harry-potter-free-paper-props-all-movies-more-108986/

Hey, yeah if you brought the originals to a pro and got them re-done and made copies I'd surely go for it! Given that the price isn't anything ridiculous.

the harry potter exhibition is coming to sydney in november, and I hear they have stuff from the noble collection in the giftshop!

Was pleased to see Noble had addressed the fragility of Dumbledore's wand. I got my first dumbledore wand back in 05/06 and after 3 years of love and care, I decided to flick it too hard and it cracked :( Last Christmas ordered the same wand though in the new cheaper packaging and noticed out of surprise and pleasure that the metal rod thing running through the centre is now just a tad thicker than that of the previous version :) The paint job was not too shabby either and alongside my Harry's wand from 04 stands the second best painted wand.
