Potential scam from member on 2nd run of Jurassic World name tags

Hey guys, I hate having to do this but it seems RPF member my3es has disappeared with the deposits of a number of members who got in on his second run of Jurassic World name tags. He doesn't seem to respond to emails or PMs and hasn't logged on in over a month. Something seems fishy and quite a few people are out of their money. Link to his run:

You should be able to recover that unless it was 6 months ago.

I had no reason to send it as a gift but that must be what had happened. Every time I try to use the PayPal resolution center it says that a good was not purchased on that transaction. Unless he makes good on this it looks like I might be out of the $50 I sent for two badges.

Folks in the sales thread all seem to be getting their refunds through Paypal. So happy to see that it seems nobody is going to get burnt on this one :thumbsup

I had no reason to send it as a gift but that must be what had happened.

Must be the case unfortunately. If you are in doubt, maybe contacting Paypal to clarify may assist.

What email address did you send it to? I sent mine to the one listed on his paypal account but I haven't heard anything yet.

I sent him an email through paypal to report an issue with the item. And never got a response back directly but I did get a refund.

mike@sixmitchells.com is what he used to reply to me and where I sent the money. He says he's trying to get me a refund and will let me know.

Yeah, he only replied back to me twice and then nothing since then. Your best bet is to dispute the payment in PayPal's resolution center.

Bumping this back up as I see my3es has been on within the last few days. Tried sending a pm but his inbox is currently full. Anyone ever hear anything else from him about this?
