Dang your suit looks awesome bro.. Mclean's print is really THE print above all.
Do you have any pics of the zippers and back area ? I'm working on mine and I'd like to have a better look at it.

well this is the best pic i got.... mind you this suit was my very first attempt am machine sewing AND the corners where the zippers meet ripped during my first wear. i didnt understand how to fold the red belt over the bottom zipper so its exposed just cause im new.

also youll notice theres a zipper on my neck, i couldn't fit my head through the hole as this is an undersized suit.

Amazing job on the suit! Totally nailed it.
Did you puff paint the entire thing?

Yep! did every last inch by hand for nearly 2 months. I had to take certain artistic license with the lines and borders on the arms and chest. The zig zag stitch along the top half (where the red and blue meet) seemed like a bad idea with the already limited movement in the suit so i just added a thread texture with the paint. I actually made navy blue puff paint for all of the blue hexagons.

One thing i did do that i think no other suit has, is the serger stitch to the black lines on the body:

Yeah I see what you meen about "folding" the belt. You did a really great job sewing it though !
Do you have any pics of you wearing the suit with the mask ? I still don't know if I'd prefer a detachable mask or not. I've been wondering how the mask overlaping with the neck would look.

Very cool bro! Great job on the puffy work! I'm also doing the real thread needlework on my battle damage suit but it'll take a while cause I'm going to be doing it by hand (I don't have a sewing machine). If you're getting another suit and you would like to get this one "battle damaged" shoot me a PM :)

I'm not sure if you're a fan of that look or not but when you have the privilege of owning two suits, you might as well make one "hero" and one "heavy battle weathered" so you get both famous movie looks. Shameless plug I know, but one of the perks of working on everyone's' suit is seeing it up close and in person :)

MrBibou, i have no mask as of yet cause i want the face shell with magnetic lenses. Its rare to find that.

El Fett, thanks for the offer but i want to keep the "hero" look despite the extra EXTRA attention to detail that would have.

now if anyone could recommend a member who makes web shooters and mask parts id be eternally grateful

I was Iron Spider at Fan Expo 2012 in Toronto.
Got to take a picture with Dan Slott.

I bought this suit online and there was no way to see out of the mask.
So I made a couple holes and used fabric tape to secure the eyes.

Webshooters I would recommend Markpoon's. I got those and while it takes some creativity to get them to work with a suit, they are amazing. They already have LEDs which really help to just tie things together.

Faceshell is pretty easy fix, MCLE4N has a thread for his and so does Joelai009. IMO both of those are great just comes down to personal preference.

Heres a good question for all of us spider men... Whos going to NYCC in our best suits this year? With my budget thats a 50/50 but theres nowhere else on earth id rather be in costume than there.
