I was buying headlights today and I was in the performance parts aisle, and I saw something resembling the braided metal cables on the inside of the jaw piece. It was inexpensive and there seemed to be alot in there, I'll speak more of it once I buy it, then I'll post pics.

Corrrect. that's almost certainly what was used (I think they're called 'ground wires' or 'ground strips') the question for uber-accuracy is finding ones with the correct number of weaves. There are much thinner ones at the front of the forehead.

Please post what you have MV, be interesting to see the type you've found. Thanks :)

no pics yet as i am having problems with my computer, but i did buy it saturday. its from mr gasket, and its called a flex braid kit. Its a woven metal hose sleeving kit which protects hoses in your engine and gives it a professional appearance. its in the performance aisle at advance auto parts. i think the part number is #8092. theres enough here that if i can figure out if its the right part, ill see what i can do about getting sections of it to people who ask. Im going to check their website and see if there is a pic. Be right back.

yup thats what I bought. im hoping maybe this weekend I can find out if the new ish digital camera will work on the old computer, and ill snap pics of the cables out of the package so the accuracy guys can tell us if I found the right part...Id love to go down in history as the guy that found that cable, like the guy that found the camera shutter and the guy that found the vcr part. of course id only be remembered as that guy, but still id rather be that guy then who the hell are you lol.
