Portal In A Box

One of the assignments for my design technology class was to make a lightbox. The only restrictions were that it had to be lit internally and we had to show our process. I figured the rpf might like this.

This is what I came up with.

It was designed in AutoCad and is made out of 1/8" basswood cut with a laser cutter. I had a few LEDs left over from my portal gun build so I used two of each color. The portals have a piece of frosted plexiglass behind them.

I want to make another one that's bigger and has more LEDs in it.

I really like that. I tried to get my wife into Portal in the hopes that she'd allow me to place blue and orange lights everywhere, but she just can't get the hang of a dual analogue system! Curses!

Thanks everyone! My teacher thought it was a triumph

The box is rougly 5" tall and 3.5 inches wide. I'd like to make one that is at least double that. Or a lamp of some sorts. Now that I have free time the possibilities are endless
