The Blade Runner PKD Blaster Green LED

A trick to get the proper 80s green is to use Tamiya X25 green on top of the common pale green leds. It goes on clean and gives the LED just enough of a tint to give it the look.

Whelp, I've packed everything and soon, I am going to call my Friend who will handle the Sales and Shipping part. Later on, he will give me the link where to purchase them.

I hope so. Thanks to the images you sent me last year, the measurements were quite close with a ± 1.5mm difference. So, I readjusted the PCB design a little to allow the 4 LEDs to flex a little more. Otherwise, they (all the 5 LEDs) would have to be de-soldered off the board and re-soldered with some wires.

I was hoping to borrow a Tomen from a Friend but it was sold long ago. So, I am hoping we get to know the result from others sometime this year.

Thank you so much for your support, Guys.

Anyway, I have added a download link to the PKD Sales Webpage as dcast was kind enough to repair my Switch Cover (SketchUp) file and turn it into a printable .stl format.

Hi! Mr.Engineer My package arrived today and what a beautiful thing it really is! thank you!

Sadly I have some questions from the brain of a fool

If I just want the 5 red LED to light what should I do with the wires that go out to the green LED?

and- which mAh Lipo battery should I get? 2000? 1100? 900? or do you have link or photo of the exact one?

With the LIPO charger - I'm unclear on the instructions :- it says "do not put both batteries at once. Really" what does that mean?

lastly apologies for being such a caveman :notworthy:

Hi, baron von blondle ,

As the Blade Runner Blaster Builders Group has still yet to authorise my reply to you, I have send the reply to you via Facebook Messenger. Here, I will paste the same reply too. The Green LEDs are just in case as everyone one who watched the Movie, it does not light up in the last minute before filming.

Hi, Peter,

Thank You for being the first customer to Support tis Project. Let's get to the answers.

1. The Green LEDs gets their electrical power from the Red & Black wires coming out from the Circuit Board. So, if you do not want to light up the Green LEDs, you can either de-solder the Red & Black wires or, just cover them with tape (but don't short them together).

2. As long as the LiPo batteries fit into the Ammo Clip, you're fine. There is a space of about 10mm (W) x 10mm (H) x 32mm (L) once you put the Board into the Ammo Clip. There are some versions like the 120mAH 501030 [5mm (H) x 10mm (W) x 30mm (L)] or even the 401230 [4mm (H) x 12mm (W) x 30mm (L)]. The ones I used for testing was the small 100mAh 501515 and the bigger 230mAh 751525. However, I did not completely print the whole blaster to see if the latter fits. But do get the ones with protective circuits.

3. As for the LiPo charger, the two different size JST plugs are connected in parallel. If you put two LiPo batteries together, the charger would take a longer time to charge them. Plus, the simple charger does not have a BMS circuit so I am not too sure what would happen if both batteries are not balanced.

This is great thank you!!!
I don't understand the facebook groups issues...I guess that's why the OG RPF is a way better medium :D
