In looking at the close-up of the barrel I can see the unfortunate copy that is not what is on the actual gun. I saw someone asking about it, I think I'll be sanding it down, but I'm wondering how to replace it with the actual text. I think once its painted there can be some clear vinyl letter that have some faux depth to them to fake the illusion that they are 3d. Possible?

I suppose you could replace the barrel if you can find one with the correct text, but at that rate you'd probably be better off buying a complete gun kit from a 3D printer or a Tomenosuke.

I don't think I want to mess with the copy on the sides. It has such a nice crispness and depth to it that no vinyl or decal can match. Besides, I kind of like that it says ELFIN-KNIGHTS. It's almost like a badge of honor that reminds me this thing was once a simple water pistol.

Also comes in ultraviolet for your vampi-replicants, lol (any Underworld fans out there?)

I'm calling these rounds LUMI-SHOK, short for Luminiferous Munitions.

Just some fun add-on items. They look pretty cool both lit and unlit in the box.

Ammo boxes will be $18 and feature a custom weathered label, red vellum ribbon w/printed Japanese kanji and a gold wax seal embossed with the STEYR logo. I'm also including a resin cast ammo cradle for the base of the box that will hold each round in place for display. (The box can hold up to 10 rounds with the cradle removed).

Rounds sold individually $5/ea. I'm also planning on adding a decal with that will wrap each round. (Still under development)

I'm offering customizable options for the colors on the wax seals, vellum ribbons and ammo lights as well.

What kind of battery do the cartridges use, and how long are you going to be running these? I've got a move coming up next month's that's sucking all my funds up, but afterwards I'm seriously considering on jumping on a deluxe kit.

Each one uses 3 LR41 batteries. I'll keep the run going as long as there is interest or until I run out of materials/supplies.

The grip core is resin cast, but it's only available as part of the deluxe kit as per my agreement with Darko. However, he has released his 3D model publicly, so you can print one yourself if you like

I'll be sending out the order link here shortly to everyone on the list at the same time.

I've also decided to offer pre-wired Red LEDs for the deluxe kits. Each one is already soldered to wire leads and has a resistor built in covered in heat shrink. Makes things much easier to wire up.

For a extra fee could there be an add on to the grips that would include the frame?

Ive decide since I can't open mine (insert sad face) into halfs I'll only be replacing the grips.

It's probably too late to suggest this but...

Instead of splitting the gun in half to provide access for the wiring etc. it would be great if we could just cut the magazine out (dremel and file clean up) and replace it with a cast magazine held in with magnets.

Would you consider casting a single piece magazine which could incorporate the red LEDs and a switch?
