Just finished printing Darko's grip core. Filling and sanding tonight, then it's off to mold making and casting.

Now that I've got the water gun, I'm 100% in for a deluxe kit!
I have a few questions about the lighting system since I've never worked with electrical elements before.
1. I'm assuming I'd have to get the 2 halves split in order to successfully install the lights? If I can't get them split, could they still be installed somehow?
2. Also, I'm planning on filling the main gun section with something like resin or Apoxie Sculpt to give it some weight. I also want to cut out the magazine and put the batteries in there so I can replace them when needed. Would that even be possible to fill the gun with all the wires in there?

I'm working on a mod that doesn't require the gun to be split in two. Removal of the grip and magazine should allow enough access to install all the LEDs and allow for battery replacement, etc.

Depends on what you fill it with and how you fill it. If you are only going with the red LEDs and not the green you could probably keep the magazine compartment separate. I still haven't quite figured out how I'm going to fill mine. I definitely want to add some weight to it though.

I'd like to have all the LEDs in mine if I can. I was thinking maybe filling each half of the gun with Apoxie Sculpt. That way I can carve some channels in it for the wiring to sit before I glue the whole thing together. Idk, just a thought. I'll have a better idea once I start working on this project

Just wanted to give everyone an update. I'll be casting the first grip core tonight. That leaves only the "off/on" waterslide decals as the last piece to the kit. I may even send those out separately as to not hold up things any longer than I have to. My aim is to start shipping kits out by the end of the week.
Been busy making ammo boxes and hundreds of LUMI-SHOK rounds as well. Big thanks to all of those that have ordered :cheers:

You sure those are going to fit? I had the same kit from rgreisbeck and took one of the grips off the watergun, and the two didn't match up all that well.

Well tbh rgriesbecks kits a tad below actual 1 to 1. I found my pinky was crowded gripping it. So what I did was rubber band hold the right hand side Soulinertia grip inplace. And added a filler piece where the grip overhangs. Did my trace, cut the filler piece and added it to the handle grip frame. I`ll need to do some minor fill work.... reprime etc. ...... but Soulinertias closer to 1 to 1 grip feels much better now imho than the stock grip. No worries. I`m glad I bought these grips.
The right hand side grip needed just a bit of tweakage below the reciever arm thingy. The left hand side needs an 1/8th inch taken off the angle facing the bullet round chamber. I`ll dremel, then fine sand. Then use a mini polisher to buff the resin up. I`ve done this many times. So yeah these need a teeny bit of tweak. They look so nice I had to take a chance on them. ;p
I am doing other tweaks to rgriesbecks Kit. I did some cosmetic reshaping here and there on a few parts. Reworked the bullet chambers and now they fit 357. Magnum rounds. Much nicer than the included plastic stuff. Alot of prep going on. But the Kits a fantastic 3D print. They did a nice kit.
