So I found a guy selling a very cheap Blue Ranger stunt helmet kit and got it in the mail today.

Here are the pictures of my helmet as it arrived.

to me it looks like the front half is sorta twisted a bit on one side, and the neck hole needs to be rounded more. so yeah looking for any and all help :023:

Hehe 54 views and no one that works with Resin and Fiberglass ? Tomorrow I will be taking the time to spray paint the helmet primer grey and then I will be adding bondo to it.

You could get your hands on some epoxy clay such as magic sculpt or apoxy sculpt, fixing the edges and then re-enforce it with some more fiberglass. Smoothing it all out will be the only problem, but that's only because of the large amount of time that sanding will take on it. As for part of the helmet being twisted, all I can think of is using a heat gun to soften it a tiny bit and putting pressure on it until it's in the proper place. Did the seller tell you that it was in this awful of shape?

all he said was it was a bad casting. direct copy & paste

I also have a blue ranger helmet that was stuntcast but a very bad copy. As u can see in the pics it needs lots and I mean lots of work done on it. Would be a fun project if some ones up for it that's the reason why I'm selling it dirt cheap 30.00+shipping.

Um wow what a mess, where did it come from or who was the seller even though it's pretty rough if they do sell castings I miht be intrested in one.

stunt cast, not a custom made helmet, and after all the work that will be done to the helmet it won't be his anymore. but yes

Edit: To rephrase it for everyone "Yes I have asked the person I bought it from about the recasting"

Yeah, you've got the whole intellectual property thing going on there. Seek permission or make your own from scratch. Given the work you'll have to do to make that respectable, starting from scratch might not be that big a deal if you're capable. Then again, fibreglass is not my thing so am happy to be proven wrong.

I am working on my own sculpts of a few of the ranger helmets, I have posted on here before with my headcasting armature that I had made.

This helmet I don't think will really be able to be fixed to even 90% proper again. I think that the only good use of the helmet would be for a base layout of where to put the horns etc. from the inside of the helmet it looks like the move is pushed up and the helmet is twisted in a two spots.

ok well now that is over with

Now back to the topic, I decided to take the time to spray a layer of primer onto the helmet and now the back section of the helmet I see hundreds of little dimples and 3 spots where the fiberglass matting is showing signs of places he might have missed the resin at.

I'll post more updates as I go along with the work

Not a problem man, I understand and I have no hard feelings. If you would like to continue to post in the thread(s) of mine I will allow it. Its just that we both was showing our childish sides and as adults we both need to show respect. I was being a jerk after I reread my tone on a couple of them and I am sorry for that also.

You can leave the posts in the thread I am ok with that. It will show what had happened and how it was solved. I will also post this into the thread to let everyone know it is all good between us :)

i think after looking at the helmet parts for a while I think I will start off working with the bondo for the back half first to get used to working with bondo since I'm new to it.
