Phantom Menace Review...Everything you were thinking and more!

If any of you guys have seen "Idiocracy", he sounds exactly like the lawyer Frito Pendejo (Dax Shepard).

Also, when he said "What is it with Ricks?", I laughed out loud. And now I wanna know...:lol

Brilliant. Just brilliant. I lost a couple of hours last night watching the Phantom Menace and Nemesis reviews. But it was worth it.

What's disarming about the reviews is this guy's juxtaposition of his sociopathic serial killer character with an uneducated vocal cadence and the scathingly insightful dissection of the film.

He is dead on in so many respects, it's embarassing to be an apologist for TPM now. However, I maintain that TPM is still better than Episode II. I would love to hear his take on that steaming pile.

His comments about kids watching coma-inducing dialogue about motion deferrals, taxation of trade routes, and no-confidence votes were DEAD ACCURATE.

Like someone else said...you had 3 movies to flesh out characters like Han, or Luke

Everything you need to know about those characters is set out in EP IV. If you can't bring your characters to life in a single 120 minute film, you are in trouble as far as making movies goes.

If this guy teaches a scriptwriting class, count me in. Loved the part where young Lucas is talking about how the story is what makes the film and not the special effects.

Dude, I went WTF?!? when Lucas was contradicting himself - even I as a non-Warser was totally thrown off by the SFX he tried to cram in...

Don't anybody of the fans think to slap Lucas silly for this?

Forget bringing your characters to life in a single single. Lucas is still trying to do that with this Clone Wars series a whole DECADE after the fact. Why does he think we like Anakin more than any other Star Wars character we'd rather be focusing on?

I honestly don't care if there is a gold mine of good stories in the Clone Wars that are better than the prequels. They don't matter if it all goes to Episode III, which I regard as the worst prequel more than TPM.

I liked his comments on the "yes men", and how everybody looked scarred around GL.
That explains a lot(and why I can't stand gushing reviews, they are just sucking up).

Hey...

When he describes the opening scene of A New Hope, he says something to the effect of, "That scene worked so well that I'm sure George Lucas had nothing to do with it, and in fact probably argued against it"

That had me rolling.

This is pure truth mixed with pure comic genius presented with pure intelligence and laced with pure humor. :thumbsup

QFT!

I think the same way... alot of parts in ep2 annoy me more than ep1! I will NEVER be able to watch TPM and get any enjoyment out of it again! IM CURED! :lol I never liked the PT anywhere NEAR as much as the OT... but I could STAND it...

MAN, I hope he does ep2 and 3 versions!!!

I'm also anxiously awaiting my envelope of delicious pizza rolls! :love

Man, I hope we find out that this guy is in someway involved with ILM, or a PT actor or something. When I first heard his voice, I felt it was more of a cover than trying to be funny... prob just wishfull thinking. :angel

I'm going to go ahead and say it...

BEST YOUTUBE VIDEO EVER! (y)thumbsup

I like how he'll cut himself off during the later editing process when he realizes he went off on some strange tangent.
