Pepsi is making Pepsi Perfect? BTTF

Just a reminder that this is not a sales/interest thread. These types of feeding frenzies can go south pretty quickly (no pun intended), so if a Premium Member wants to start an interest thread in the Project Runs forum, or a sales thread in the Junkyard (with bottles in hand ready to ship), they will certainly make it know here. So I'm guessing Pizza Hut will soon be releasing an article about how "excited" they are to be offering a long-awaited item to the public and give them the opportunity to finally own something they've dreamed about since first watching BTTF 2...and then just release a zip lock bag with a red sticker on it.

I was told the Mex edition is 25cm which is 9.8 inches compared to 9.25 - that's like half an inch - close enough for me.
 
ComicCon France will hand out Pepsi Perfect bottles for the first 200 attending as Marty on October 23-25.

haha I just saw the empty perfect pepsi box listing on eBay and thought it was hilarious what people are willing to pay.

One thing that did catch my attention was that he did mention the box is made to carry only 1 bottle which kinda makes me think that what if all bottles that will be sold and shipped on the 21st will come in those boxes and the people giving them out at comic con simply gave those lucky few the cans. That would be funny to see the winner pay over $200 for what you can technically get for $20.15 WITH the bottle.

we will have to wait and see I guess since it would be pretty dumb for pepsi to lets say take each bottle out of the box and then ship them in different boxes.
 
Hey gang, just a heads up that I wasn't able to make it down today. My friend was gonna ride shotgun and act as an interpreter, but realized her passport was expired. I didn't feel comfortable going solo, even with these 24 inch pythons;)
All my other friends think I'm crazy for texting them last minute, "Hey! Wanna go to TJ for an hour?"
If the bottles are still available next weekend I have a buddy who wants to head down. But by that time I have a feeling the fervor will have waned.
 
I thought you could enter Mexico without a passport. I flew there in 2005 and did not need a passport but that was 10 years ago.
 
Unfortunately they beefed up security this April. The last place they allowed it was the pedestrian crossing, but alas, no more.

yeah i thought it was pretty good, i never saw the pictures of the delorean on the forklift before, i thought that was very cool

A guy on the BTTF FB page was nice enough to share with me the measurements of the Mexican Pepsi Perfect - it's like 1/2 an inch taller than the US version - close enough.
 
this is hilarious....i'm gonna wait.
$10 says they put them in the stores...and you'll be able to get one at a gas station.
everyone's gonna be like "why did i spend hundreds of dollars again?!?!?"

Let me make sure I have this straight.

3) This thread is 24 pages long of people still wanting it.

If someone offered a replica, exactly like this in the junkyard last year for 10.00 a bottle they'd have been torn to pieces over how wrong it was.

I was interested a week or two ago, but lost all enthusiasm the second I saw one up close. Okay, close one eye and squint with the other and it's a Pepsi Perfect bottle.

Enjoy that, I guess...just don't understand why anyone would pay that kinda money for something so wrong. I get the novelty to some degree for 20.00 but 100.00 and up Ea.? For what? To have 1 of 6500 poorly made replicas?

Just bought a Mexican bottle for £30 which is about $46 so seemed like a bargain accurate or not still gonner try try on the Oct 21st release as well with the help of American friends US address :D
