Pepsi is making Pepsi Perfect? BTTF

I got mine from the second batch on Saturday, does anyone know if there is any actual chance of the liquid damaging the bottle?

Dang it. Now that you've gone and come up with a neat little display concept, it has my mind working out the details.... :)

I'm glad you like it. I think it would be cool to display your bottles with a "table replica", as we're in a replica forum. The hardest part would be the tube, of course, so any help you can gave regarding measures, Gary, would be great. Sorry for taking you in for another bttf replica after you said you want to quit, hehe. if you want to make a couple of them and sell me one for the idea.... :rolleyes Lol
About the tube, there is only a couple of things that I noticed we have to pay attention. At the bottom part it has an inner tubular stand made of the same material of the tube, to hold the Pepsi bottle.
Also, the top part (where the P decal is), is slightly bigger in diameter than the tube.
Lastly, the decals don't look like a normal decal. Even it's a shiny vinyl decal, os it's a matte decal, with a very thin glass or methacrylate layer over it. It doesn't look like that surface is a normal sticker. Also, some reflection can be seen on the decal in that scene of the movie, so it had to be one of the options I'm saying.

Again, I'm glad people liked my idea, and I hope we can make it a reality.

I was lucky enough to get the 'first' of Gary's final run (well, I see it as the first, it's actually the prototype for his run of final acrylic bottles). Although this has some small flaws, this bottle is one of my favourite BTTF props, I'm very pleased with it and I know I am pretty lucky to (in some way) get in on his run of bottles. I can see how much work goes into these bottles, making multiple bottles must be a nightmare!! Details such as the magnetic mouth piece that snaps down when you close it, and the straw lifting as you open the bottle to allow drink to be sucked up from the bottom, very nice work, well done and thank you Gary.

Not to rub it in to anyone who missed out, but here it is...

Just received my "Pepsi Perfect" bottles from Mexico this morning. Really a lot better quality then I thought they wood be,
however the lids screw mech sure needs some serious attention.

So what is the exact procedure to address the lid screw and bottle with a Dremel tool.?
Will post my pic of my Coke perfect when it is done.

@Ojobenito @Gary Weaver II I came across this replica display (not sure if it was an RPF members). Maybe it'll help your brainstorm

Wow, that tube is great. Yeah, I want to do something like that, but with the table (the portion of it that holds the Pepsi logo, not the complete table :p ) That in the link was sold in 2007 so we can't track it,but it's nice to see.

You really have to cut of quite some of the top of the plastic from the clear part. I can post some pics of mine. I cut of more than 1cm so the clear part does not touch the blue cap anywhere, and then you can screw the cap perfectly on the bottle without he gap in between.

The old logo on the bottle can be nicely removed with nail varnish remover (to replace it with one of Rolands screen accurate decals).

Still have to figure out how to best paint the cap. I'm considering a Motip Metallic Blue spraycan. Maybe first use the Motip plastic adhesive spreycan. Or is there someone here who is willing to pay these caps for me for a good price? ;)

Thank you Sir. Would love to see a couple of photo's of the cut down plastic bottle. As far as painting I am going to purchase "Testors One Coat Lacquer Star Spangled Blue 1843 Model Paint Aerosol 3oz Can" as mentioned by one of the members.

Here is a picture of how much I trimmed of the bottle. Don't have a "before" pic, but if you got the bottle, you see how much I removed. After that, you can scren the blue cap on it so it fits nicely:

Here also a shot of the complete bottle, after removing the printed logo with nail varnish remover. Didn't leave any marks on the bottle itself:

Now just painting the cap, and adding one of Rolands decals and silver band around the cap, and it's done :)

Excellent photo's. Thanks! I know exactly what to do.
Where do you plan on getting the silver band trim around the cap?

very good and very helpful thank you for posting:) haven't had chance to work on my bottle yet! Quick question when you have cut the bottle down dose it make the lid lose? Thanks again :)

For those of us who have the "official" Pepsi version, what can we use as a substitute for the soda once we drink it or pour it out? I think the carbonated soda would eventually be corrosive to the plastic bottle, so for long term storage/display, we need to empty it of the soda. What can we use to replace the soda ? Thanks guys, for any info !

Nope, the lid still screws firmly onto the bottle. The screw-thingies (don't know how to call it in English ;) ) on the clear part or on the bottom, so you don't cut them away.

Thanks to jedifyfe, I am now the proud owner of a first generation Gary Weaver! :D

Having one of these in hand, I fully get why folks were so disappointed in last year's official Pepsi release. It's not even close. Gary's bottles truly are amazing. It's no wonder they're so coveted. I feel very, very lucky to have one.

Well, I was lucky enough to get one of the last Gary's bottles. And even luckier to be the winner of the draw he made for the people who managed to get one. (You can't imagine how much I cried in happiness and jumped around after seeing the final bottle list). I like all the "behind the scenes" posts regarding the DeLorean and the Pepsi Bottles he made.
But now I have a crazy idea but I need some help. My idea is to display Gary's Bottle inside a clear tube with a hole as seen in the movie and with a sticker on top with part of the P of the Pepsi logo (like in the movie). Does anybody know the measures of that tube, the measures of the hole to access the Pepsi Perfect, etc?
I may get a USA Pepsi Perfect from some relatives that managed to get one and they may give it to me as a present, but I don't want to destroy the tube it comes in. Also, it may not be good enough for Gary's bottle due to different size. I want to make it from scratch and accurate, if possible, so any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the info, but I was looking for something more movie-accurate. That in the video is a flimsy plastic, and I was looking for something sturdier like methacrylate or a rigid and not so thin plastic. I'll try to make something like that as soon as I have the bottles and can take exact measurements.
