Hello everybody,

I have done research on pepakura and would love to try my hand at it but was unsure on a good model to do. I tried to do a halo assault rifle that eventually went downhill. What is a good pepakura model to try that isn't very complicated? Just about any star wars, halo, or superhero costume piece will do. Please reply.

May the force be with you all,

if you want what appears to be easy and dont particularly care you could find a casey jones mask.

i saw a USCM armor that took alot of digging to find, and it doesnt appear hard at first glance.

weapons are usually not the area to begin your Pep hobby, they tend to be on the more difficult side, there are a few exceptions such as a grenade or a very low def version of the assault rifle that I made
MA5C and M6D Weapons: WIP

look at the files, in Pep viewer, it says how many pieces are in the file down at the bottom, I tend to stay away from the 200+ piece files unless I really because I like to add my own details with self adhesive hobby foam (foamies) saves both time and money...good luck

First one I did, well, first one I did correctly was the Mini-Nuke from Fallout 3. It's really easy, but that's a good thing. I started with a ship first and never finished it, to many small parts and I had no idea what I was doing. Biggest thing I picked up that few talk about is using a straight edge and a pen to trace over the fold lines, makes all the diferance and is so simple it's no wonder I didn't finish my first project.

Definitely start with something simple, if you are intending on doing a full Master Chief, start with the boot covers and work your way up, then, not only will you be starting on the easier peps, they can be a bit rough because no-one's going to pay too much attention to your shoes, especially when all that practise means you finish with a beautifully pepped helmet.
