Pee-Wee's Big Adventure Bike

Yeah it must be in the same area it's been for the last year, someone post a pic of the bike there, I mentioned that was our Hot Wheels '68 bicycle.
On shot with Michael on it, it looks like there is some wiring running to the back. Maybe the taillights for the end of the movie.
I still can't believe he's on it!! really!
The inside back shot looks like there is a half of a hinge in there, that might be a piece off one of the working saddlebags?

Also they told be that it was near impossible to have the nameplate on the seat and have it in the correct position, probably some movie magic going on there and they moved the top bag back to get that shot.

This probably will end up in its own thread, but for the last year or two I've been working intermittently on a small scale model of the X1. The base model of bicycle isn't exact (Roadmaster), but at such a small scale (1:6), it won't make that much of a difference. I can't afford a full size bike, so this is the next best thing. But now I have all of your awesome research and reference pictures to make my version as accurate as possible!

haha..ya the top case was thick..the sidecases i could see the thickness thru the two big holes for the squirters..about 1/8 inch from some wierd light gray either glass or resin.. chainguard did appear to be metal also..it had some funky yellowed glue holding the center tank grills or badges on also. i tried figuring out what those wires went to..they didnt seem to do anything? went in center tank and into top case. but ya Abe you should go, im sure they would let you sit on it also. not much in New Bremen though..basically just the museum but it is a nice old school american town. i thought about hauling my bike to that show.

Those are awesome pictures! I would love to see more. I too am Jealous you got to sit on the thing.. I had to settle for a craptastic photo from outside the glass! And man, that material is way thicker than i expected. I thought they were fiberglass but man, that is way thick even for fiberglass.

Hey Jaime,
Thanks for ruining a great thread, take your drama elsewhere-

Guys- sorry to be a dick- If i come across to harsh, sorry to be blunt about things. I'm not to trying to art direct or anything like that. Just trying to help get the bike accurate. If that gets your panties in a bunch well...figure it out elsewhere.

Also if you don't want to hear my comments, won't just put me on your ignore list as I have done to the heckler above.

Now back to the thread.

C'mon guys. We all want to build the best/most accurate bike we can. I think we're all trying to work towards that.

I am sorry for my comments to Abe on here I hope I didn't ruin the fun I deleted some of my posts...I'm really a nice guy I am willing to help when ever I can...

Jamie

two Pee wee bikes enter..one Pee wee bike leaves..haha just imagined riding X1s around the thunderdome..well here is some shots i took of cases. i held a tape measure next them for the sizes. my own side bags are offsized a bit but i dont mind. the top one im rebuilding off these specs.

some more shots, most of my pics are of the cases..wish i took more pics of other parts but i was kinda like a little kid on Christmas and started forgetting to focus. and mostly because i think they are the hardest part to make and look accurate.

Those are some really great shots, that kind of thing just isn't possible here in Hollywood. And you got to sit on the thing too, I think you pretty much win at life.
