Pee-Wee's Big Adventure Bike

A little Pee-wee love for the bike I restored at the Bicycle Museum of America. I love how they displayed it, along with all of the artwork we produced for them.

Yeah. It makes me happy to see it with all of our artwork especially. I had some great partners on this.

Vast improvement on the way it was being displayed previously from the pics you showed me. Glad they could get the artwork displayed too. Really helps tie it all together.

No problem brotha! I was also looking for a guard a few week's ago with no luck I made mine and was glad I can help someone on here. I have had so much help on here myself from Droidboy, Ruddigger and Skillcrane and the whole dang thread.

Cutting everything by hand is tough haha

I had a little time this week to finish my a frame insert.20140827_183924.jpg

I will be making another insert with just set screws holding the ribs in place by pinching the insert then will use whatever looks better. I'm a sucker when it comes to flat allen head screws haha20140827_184051.jpg

I need to go back and redo the ribs on my bike. They came out about a 1/4 inch too thick. Doesn't sound like much but it makes a difference.

Those look good Frank. The ribs are my last piece to make for my bike. Hopefully they will be done really soon.

Turk...the ribs should be made out of 1/4" material and they are 7/16 wide if that helps.

Nice work Frank! The guards look nice & sturdy. The frame insert looks industrial strength. Dig your take on that part.

Glad I could help you get started. You're rocking on your build.

I need to get back to working on my Pee Wee bikes soon. I was planning on working on my saddlebags, but this ended up being 3 other bike build weekend instead. I am finally knocking out work on my chrome & red Spaceliner, got parts to start my Higgins Colorflow build going, & my women's Black Phantom reproduction arrived yesterday too (1956 style built on a 1950 bike).

My living room at the moment:

Haha, thanks guys! Sorry to go off topic, but I had to post that pic. It's been a fun weekend. Hope to have the Colorflow build mostly complete by the end of the coming week & the Spaceliner by the end of this weekend. Next week or the week after the Colorflow & my X1 are going to the powdercoater.
