P34 kit

I've taken note that the 6-wheeler is needed in a few of the SS models (i'm mostly concerned with the shuttle and chicken). But does it matter which kit its from #20001 or #20053 (both of the 1/20 scale)

many thanks

thx dbot
can i get a second opinion, as its not a cheap kit and i would sleep much better at night knowing i have extra credentials.
thx

I used a 1:20 Tyrell on the shuttle, but you'd be better off getting a 1:20 F-1 WILLIAMS COSWORTH FW-07. It has the same parts needed for the forward guns plus a couple more for the rear.

awesome..
just the 2 guys i hoped would chip in.
thank you gents...

and i'm happy i asked the question, and happy you helped me out...seems i was off the reservation a bit.
i shall adjust my bearings and proceed on.

Kit 20001 (the all-blue 1976 version) would be preferred, as it is "vintage," while kit 20053 (blue and white 1977 version) was a 2002 re-issue, with a few different parts in it. I think most of the changes were in the bodywork, so 20053 still contains the popular engine and suspension components, and it will probably work fine in a pinch. If there are specific parts you're concerend about, I have both kits and can compare.

as for the 1/20 version, i'm only collecting for the shuttle. and its a WAY-IN-THE-FUTURE project...nothing immediate. so i really haven't done lots of homework. only dreamily watched as neil built his. so, at this point, i'm really leaning on a lot of his knowledge. off the top of my head i'm not sure which pieces i'd need, and i have yet to really hit the library and make my own part maps.

I used the engine parts on the top left for the wing guns:

from the 1977 version I think (will need to check):

If you do buy the Tyrell, you'll still need to get a Cosworth anyway.
