P2 Re-breather : Pg7 Upgraded 2013 V2.

Well i guess ill say this now, this was something that i thought would look cool on a wall, but i will be sharing, ONLY as long as the 1st mould lasts, so i guess it will be a limited run.

Of course i will be contacting Mi6/NSA/FBI and CIA to insert tracking devices in all of these

( havent we heard that before :D )

Hopefully i can get some time in the next couple of days to finish this off, i havent checked my silicone situation as yet but im hopefull i have enough left.

Looking good lee!

Yep make sure thoses tracking devices are really hidden ROFL

That is a marvelous piece, and its not even finished.
I think many of us wants to usurp that... mihihihih
Sorry... :D
Good luck with the casting, Lee.

wooohhoooo someone gets the Usurper thing hehe.

no that doesnt mean you get a free one though sorry :D

Nice work Lee. Nice clean lines...As for pipes. If the pipes need to be smooth i'd use aquarium tubing with the wire as an armature... As for silicones...you know my choice is tinsil 70-25 or gel 10...I've yet to have a piece sculpted in NSP inhibit with gel 10 though. But as with all silicones you have to be careful about cross contamination and of course latex gloves area no no, nytrile or vinyl yes latex no. are you planning to slush this mate? if so go for a good resin with a snap cure so you get little to no slump in it when casting it up...Something like easy flo 120

Keep it up mate. I is watching :D

I have no idea about resins to use, so ill look into the Easy Flo 120 , thanks.

Please post any other UK resins that come recommended people :D

As for silicone ill Stick with TINSIL 7025 i love the quality of it for my P2 teeth and Plaques. and besides i think i have enough left lol.

You've got easy flow series resins 60 and 120...both good. Easy flow clear for clear casting, though it's an orange colour you can add metal filler for cold casting and I've gotten great results with it. all can take lots of filler I actually uses tri-hydrate filler and load it to about 400% to make a paste that you can trowel on and use for mother/jacket moulds

There's the Alwa series resins...good qulity casting stuff

The real kicker for the easy flow series is the strength of the stuff. I had a project on display at the Space centre recently and to prove how strong the stuff is i took a segemt of armour and threw it across the room and then dropped kicked it. Not a scratch and the only thing that chipped was some of the paint work and seeing as it's weathered heavily it just added to it.

Hope this helps mate, as I have said on previous occasions if i can help out with advice on this stuff tip me the wink and i will do

SIGN ME UP FOR ONE, SIGN ME UP FOR ONE.....Track me, Hell, I'll tell ya where I'll be, the meat packing plant.....I'm a little hungry

I know some other guys from P2 you could sculpt. :D eh gigity gigity eh eh but no once again I like it. More people need to make P2 suits everyone has a damn P1 or AVP suit...cmon!!!!

:Edit: No Offense heheheh

everyone has a damn P1 or AVP suit...cmon!!!! :D

Ahem? Damn P1 suit? I am just finishing my damn P1 thank you very much!

...

Now damn AVP suit, that's different

Nice work Lee! Will look great once finished. Would be interested if available. Or funds permitting. My suit has about drained my wallet, meh. Anyway, great job and can't wait to see the end result.

My, oh my, wonders never cease! First I restart the P1 backpack, and then you do the P2 rebreather!
Terrific job, Lee. Clean details.

Frig Lee, that looks so sweet.... I just have to get on board with this one and add it to my Usurper P2 collection :D

Cold casting would certainly finish off this amazing sculpt! I have just started cold casting some 40mm Grenades for a T2 project and the Aluminium and bronze powder added to the resin makes them look so realistic.

Thanks for the info Mav :D The tubes are ribbed not smooth

And thanks for the feedback guys, i was going to jump on this yestereday but got a phone call to go surfing hehe , and as im still learning i had to go

so after my board tried to kill me ( probably doesnt help surfing at 7pm lol ) im alittle bruised and batterd, but heading back out today as surf is meant to be real good.

anyway long of that story is, i doubt ill have time to finish this off until the weekend or early next week.

I may try some powder fillers, but ill have to give Mouldlife a call and find out what they recommend, as Hez said to be careful with some, and Mav said others are good, hopefully some advice from the supplier will help.

ill post some more pics as soon as its finished i promise.

thanks again.

On a side note, Moulding this. . .

I was thinking ill just do a block mould ( save me making a jacket )

I know this will use abit more siicone, but although ive read and watched youtube videos, so i know the theory, practise is ALOT different.

Does anyone STRONGLY disagree or have any suggestions?

remember my moulding experience is just plaster based for my masks, and Silicone blanket moulds for my resin wall plaques, and small block moulds for teeth.

So treat me as a noob, cos thats what i am :D
