Overwatch Pepakura Hanzo's Bow

This is my first time trying to make anything out of pepakura (and I may have picked a terrible project for it). I took a 3d model of this bow from the game Overwatch and fed it into pepakura maker with minimal fixing, tweaking, or editing (I removed the cloth wrappings from the side of the bow but that's about it). Unsurprisingly the pattern has some problems, not the least of which is that several of the pieces of geometry that pepakura rendered fit through each other in the 3d model. As such I am not currently posting this pattern for anybody else to download because it really is kind of terrible.

I'm recording a series of youtube videos chronicling my struggles with this

Even though I'm using the model from the game itself I intend to add the extra details shown in the game cinematic "Dragons". Right now the biggest 'unknown' for me is how to replicate the finish on this particular part

If anyone has any input or advice on that I would really appreciate it.

I am personally not sure how to replicate it but it looks a lot like damascus steel to me. Try looking for guides online on how to replicate a damascus steel pattern.

The easiest way I could think of would be to take a complete image of that part and create a decal.
Alclad wouldn't let you do it, but the new Vallejo metallic line will let you use a hand brush (even tho it's made for and ab) and
paint over the brite metallic parts. Then a couple of mists of gloss and you should have something close to the original image.
Just my 2¢
