Hello, welcome to a new story.
It might just be unused pix in the computer, but I took these pictures the same day as the Alpha pix, this time I was comparing my midgrade V3 to the original fiberglass screenused midgrade phaser.
I took a few good shots of the body shapes.
They might be crappy pix, but they are new, never been seen before.
Here I present a set of pix of the original midgrade bottom with the V3 bottom.
At the table. We found the trigger was 0.28 meaning that is 1/4" alum rod anodized. 5/16" was used on the GJ hero phaser.
I used 5/16 rod for my trigger that is on a switch.
The midgrade has a thin, short glass grip, the V3 grip works better for holding battery power.
Also V3 shells start as hero B/W shells, so the tenturn ribs are there, and I didn't grind them off, and a hero tenturn was used.
The P2 bodys are very close. The V3 is as wide as a hero(with a P2 laser and batts in the grip).
The V3 has the original type release in it to lock in the hand phaser.
(I wonder if the GJ hero is real now!)
Back to the triggers,
I wonder if the trigger on the midgrade got replaced?
It is crooked, and (still solid) but crooked and the smaller size.
More common xacto size.
The studio might have done it or it was done later, or it is the original, I don't know, but I see the possibility that a trigger replacement happend.
Opinions?
Anyway enjoy these new pictures and your time with your own props.

Well since the hero phaser GJ has came from Jim Rugg and this mid-grade has no providence other than it came from a movie memorabilia shop I do not think it takes much effort to figure out why the hero and this mid-grade do not match. :lol
