Original 1977 ANH Stormtrooper Armor and Helmet

Thanks for sharing those great photos SiMan.

Definitely interested in a helmet as well if released in pure form.:thumbsup

Hi SiMan,

Glad to see you back on the forum.

If you are thinking of doing a background style / stunt helmet that is moulded direct from your helmet add me to the list 100%. I would think that is the holy grail for most on this forum.

I would think the background helmet would be more popular with collectors here rather than costumers but there obviously is a market for both.

The helmet you have is pretty much 'the business' when it comes to background troopers as it has the full length of the tubes and clearly a full faceplate untrimmed at the back. I think the TE style helmets suffer from being trimmed down too much at the rear - I am sure I will be corrected if that is wrong :)

Glad you are doing this and best of luck with the helmets.

Chris

I know you'll all get your torches and pitchforks, but I'd LOVE a fiberglass copy over a vac-formed one - as it's accurately trimmed, assembled and I don't have to mess with trimming the ears. Yes, I know I'm Mr. Backwards. So sue me.

Really awesome suit and helmet.

In hurry to see the first pull!

Thanks for the pictures, it's always a pleasure to see original props (especially a "raw" stormtrooper helmet ^^)

Do you plan to make accurate replicas of the mic tips? (with all the parts which compose them)

Will be exciting to finally see pulls from molds without any details being sanded down or removed like the tear track and the tube kinks etc.

This will be far and away the most accurate ANH helmet ever offered.

Thanks for sharing.

This is amazing! Add me to the list of those salivating impatiently until copies are made available :)

I believe it's already been unassembled when it was stripped i'm pretty sure the pics from the blog page in the first post showed it unassembled, the page no longer exists though.
I'm sure it was also probably taken apart in order to cast moulds too.
Of course, but it can easily be re-assembled and it will still be assembled accurately in terms of shape and trim and such.

It's cool that these are being made... and I know an outside molding to make a fiberglass casting is probably not likely to happen, as not many people are interested in those anyway.

Bloody fantastic

As others have said, it would be great to see an unsanitised, uncleaned version - it would be the most accurate ANH Stormtrooper helmet ever

Cheers

Jez

I've been away from the boards for quite a while. To come back and see this is just jaw-dropping. Brings the fun back into it for me. Along with the others, I'm anxious to see pulls and will be in line if made available. WOW!

I know your not calling me a liar, But if you look at the brow of the helmet in the close up view I've posted you see, marks in the hdpe which to me look like brush strokes never the less it show a lot of imperfections which will make this helmet youneek.

Gino's last helmets had what appeared to be brush strokes in the forehead etc. as well.

But I agree this could end up being THE helmet!

If the price is reasonable I will absolutely be picking one up!

This is really awesome stuff here. Can't wait to see an unsanitized ANH set of armor!!! :love:thumbsup:thumbsup

Yep,
It's gotta be a stunt or nothing for me..... It is a stunt why change that? Who said we would prefer hero's ? It ain't a hero to start with.... Don't fix what ain't broken.

I'm eager to see whatever you guys do but would personally love an exact stunt replica of your helmet. Warts n all, no clean up. Oh and don't get me started on a replica of that armor I don't think my heart could take it. Oooooh boy.
