Officially Licensed: Captain America: TFA - Movie Replica. Now Completely SOLD OUT!

Re: Officially Licensed: Captain America: TFA - Movie Replica Suit Pics added 10/3

Dave,

Should we be expecting a similar price to the Daredevil suit for the Cap? Id imagine that its the dye job that is running the prices up?

Not necessarily. I think the Cap suit 'should' come in lower than the Daredevil suit. The boots on the DD suit are ridiculously complex...and as such do raise the overall price of the suit...but the DD jacket at $649.00, and gloves at $89.00 still do make it competitively priced for this particular intense and elaborate movie replica.

Captain America: TFA will go online soon enough as well...I do have the final version of it here with me and it's far surpassed even my expectations.
It's really going to blow you all away...looking forward to releasing some images once we're ready. :)

Sweet, thanks! I agree that they are priced well with other motorcyle gear, my mind jumps to other things as that's not what I'd use it for. It is a beautiful piece though, you all should be super proud!

ETA...well, soon.:lol Photoshoot was fantastic...now we need to piece the webpage and promo video together...I HOPE for first week-ish of November for Pre-Sales.
I'll update you all here when we have a firm date.
Thanks again, we really took this one to heart and felt like we had to do it justice in a real 'true' to character way. Wasn't easy...but it was fun. :thumbsup

I thought the prototype looked great. That image of the final product is just fantastic. Amazing work David.

During your development of the leather replica, did you get to handle the production made suit? If so, any insight to the fabric use for the screen suit?

Thanks,
Gator

Firstly I like how the suit is looking. I like how the blue does a good job of simulating whatever material they used on the actual suit. I like the fact that it's leather as well. Just from a durability standpoint I think that's awesome. From looking at images of the costume and just watching the movie to review the suit and then looking at the image you just put up the other day I did have a few questions about the jacket.

In the image you put up, the blue section under the star is pulling away from the jacket. When you see it in the movie it always looks like the blue, gray and white are connected together. The blue always stays flat on the chest. I was wondering if this is just due to the difference of materials with the leather being thicker and all. If so i was wondering if this is the final product we're seeing pictures of or are you still doing some last minute tweaking? i was thinking if so have you considered using maybe snaps or velcro to have it stay flat on the chest.

The next thing I was looking at is the way the white section of the jacket is kind of bunching up on the sides there. i was wondering if that's also due to the fact that leather is just a thicker material to work with. Again when you see the movie suit it lays down much flatter.

When you look at images of both you can see what I'm talking about...

I guess the last thing I was wondering about was the strap width on the red straps. Are the straps on your suit the same width or are they just a touch narrower. If they are is it for a functionality reason. Are they actually functional or are they just there as part of the design? I realize that first it's a riding suit that just happens to be a replica for the movie outfit so there's going to be differences. More of a curiosity I suppose than anything. For me those are minor things. Just me nitpicking. Maybe I'm the only one that wants to know... maybe not. Anyway, still turned out looking great. Really nice translation of the source material.

David,
You probably have already had this question asked, but I did not see an answer to it in the threads.
Do you ever sell just components/ of the suits separate (I.e. the front star, back star, arm stars etc)

Re: Officially Licensed: Captain America: TFA - Movie Replica Suit Updated 10/21

Hey CaptainSuperman, David gave a response to that question over on the BOTB. For anyone that was interested...

No, sorry. We don't sell components of our garments on their own.
We offer Jackets, Pants, Boots, Gloves, Belts and Back Packs. Never the single accessory components on their own that make up a given garment.

What's the website for the orders when they become available?or is it on here? And also any idea where I get a mask? Like a good mask as displayed on here? Preferably one able to be customed to the size of the customers head? Also one last question, are these jackets able to e customed to your fit? I'm a rather skinny guy so loose clothing wouldnt look as good... :-/
