Cyland...you should really stick to phasers and stop trying to bait people.

Moving right along, yeah you can see the extending "hero" prop a few times in the show... early on when the guys are lasering the top of the rock knoll just after Captain Pike is abducted...

Also in this scene you see Navigator Jose Tyler stop, rotate the barrel to bring another of the emitters in line (there are three emitters), and resume blasting away

laser03.jpg

Later, in the underground cell, Pike tries to fire a laser brought down by a rescue party... he extends the emitter, tries again, and concludes that the aliens are creating an illusion that the weapon is "empty"

The middle ring on the emitter barrel also rotates and slides... near the end of the story Number One (Majel Barrett) fiddles with this ring to put the laser on "overload"

What isn't clear to me, is if the ring is "loose" and just slides around free, or if there is some sort of mechanism to "capture" it, so it only turns and slides a certain way.

The prop later turns up in a couple of other Star Trek episodes, with very obvious screws under the barrel, which makes me think the ring was "loose"

Here's another shot of the prop as it looked after the modifications it got in the second pilot episode.

No, I guess no one understands, Ron is an expert on TOS. His phaser is far more accurate than any other phaser that was put out. He built it by using two blury photos printed in "The Making Of Star Trek" . He's constantly bashing the MM kit, Which was built using the exsisting Hero Phaser as a referance model. He's been so arrogant because of what little praise he gotten over at ASAP and PropFixs.

He's on many occasion accused me of "interfering with him" even when I've try to help him. Simply put he's a prick. He's accused me and a few others of "turning" him into Paramount ?.? and into Crimestoppers ?.? Which I take as being the tip line for crime. He's even had one of his "friends" E-mail and PM me with threatening e-mails. He even would go and edit his comments out of the board making it look like I was starting crap.

His little "Bait" ? :

...kinda like the former mods at asap tried to assimilate and stun us.....lol.... but we were an unwilling group...LOL.

It's no suprise to see WHO's "defending" him.

Cyland... you need to calm down. I don't know what history you have with Rshanko, but he seems to be contributing to this thread, while you seem to be trolling for a fight.

If you've got an issue with him, deal with it via email. Don't take a great thread about phasers off-topic just to pick a fight.

Cyland-

Just go the Hell away.

Nobody in this thread wants you here.

Got it..

Leave..

Please don't ruin this thread with bickering. I started it to get some info on Phasers and I got way more than I expected.

Hopefully this thread will eventually be archived, and we don't need name calling and bad attitudes spoiling it.

So Please keep all your Baiting, Defending, Name calling and Childness off the thread. It's for PHASERS and not personal attacks or agendas.

I see this type of stuff in every Stormtrooper Armor thread and frankly it makes me think a lot of people here are cry babies.

I don't know any of you personally and what I know of these props are from this thread so I am not picking on anyone specifiaclly, just asking to PM each other if there is a problem or make your own website stating how you feel and PM everyone the link so you can waste your own webspace instead of the RPF's.

Please keep the rest of this civil. If anyone has a problem with this message, please PM me.

thanks

This is a great thread, and I'm sure we'll want to archive it at some point, but I bet it could go another 5 pages at least. Come on guys... I know you've got some more great pics you're just dying to share. :D

Whoops, pic added

If it is a one piece casting I'm not sure.

Is the emitter/nozzle metal or resin, and do the vents on the cowl have red plexi inserts?

Arthur

Ah yes, the famous Phase Pistol. :p

Oh and since we're on "Enterprise", here's an EM-33 I picked up recently. MACO version.

Here is another shot of the Phase Pistol, opened to show the power cell.

Did all of the AA Phase Pistols come with the DANGER Sticker?

The MR Phaser is so damn sweet looking.

Lastly, where did the EM-33 come from? Who used it?

thanks

FB

No, they didn't. It was something I added.

The MR phaser is sweet looking. I took some other pics of mine that I'll post.

The EM-33 was used by Archer and his crew in the first few episodes but it was painted in a different color scheme. Then once the MACOs came on the show, they repainted it like the one Karl posted.

Here they are. I love my MR Phaser. It is so heavy, and the cold metal body makes it feel real in your hand.
