Obi-Wan ANH D-Ring question...

Well, I seem to have utterly annihilated the D-Ring that came along with my Roman's Empire MK1 kit. Can anyone refresh me what the correct size of D-Ring this is so I can replace it and try again?

Also, does anyone have any hints on how to install said D-Ring so I don't ruin another one or risk further marring of my pommel?
