Nostromo Mug (Ceramic)

So I’ve seen a few threads about the mugs on the nostromo from alien, it’s a cool design and figured it would be nice to have! I know the ones in the movie are plastic and made by Tupperware, but I thoought it would be nice to have a real ceramic mug with the same design!

A friend of mine from school 3D prints custom molds for slip casting and is willing to help me do something similar

The process is pretty straight forward, the only issue is I do not have one of the original mugs to use as reference when making a 3D model!

I was wondering if anybody on the forum had one of these mugs and could give me a hand by supplying reference photos/measurements?

I could always buy one, but they are surprisingly pricey for a mug so I figured I’d check here first haha

My only worries are that the handles on the mugs may be a bit too thin and fragile in stoneware, I could always thicken them slightly if need be. I also have no idea how to go about getting the weyland logo onto the mug, not sure if they make some kind of decals for firing...

I'm sure someone else here will have the answers, but I think my parents have some of these in their camping gear. I'll look into it.

You can always find the colored ones, I think it will be better if yo utake the measurements yourself, I just typed tupperware mugs in ebay and looked at the least expensive, you can get them for 2 dollars.
the handle will probably be a bit thin indeed.
Concerning the logo, I'm not an expert but I think the logo will go under the top coat of the ceramic. it should work fine. In any case water slide decals are often used by DIY people on ceramics, I think you just can't put it in the dishwasher afterwards but that's always a solution.

just thought about one thing, be carefull that they did a mini size version of those for kids, it should be explicitely writen most of the case, but still be carefull.
