Noisy Cricket

Hey everyone, I've got an ICONS Cricket, but I was wondering what the differences are between this model and theUnobtainium version that I see sometimes on the net. The finish looks a bit duller from what ive seen but nothing else reallylooks that much different, can someone fill me in?

Icons was the Cricket from MiB and the Unobtanium version was from MIIB. There were differences in the grips, the area near the hammer and the holes behind the skinny barrel. Both companies offered the replicas polished but since UA went belly up while still in the process of making the Cricket there were unassembled kits that made their way into collectors hands that had yet to be polished.


This is the Icons version (picture from EyesOnly).

This is the Unobtanium version.

So which version do you guys prefer, the MIB 1, or MIB2 version?

Did all versions use green LEDs? I haven't seen the films in a while, but for some reason I thought the chamber light was actually blue...

The original Unobtaniums had a screen between the green acylic and the pistol cylinder body.

I like the sencond as the MiB cylinder looked a bit squished. I always thought the size and shape of the Icons piece had alot to do with a poor mold. But the first cricket body was smaller than the second which looks more machined than cast.
