No Tech Hoverboard, YOU BOJO!

Looking sweet! I want to do mine out of wood... but I don't want to pay for a CNC machined one. I gotta develop me some skills.

I remember the one at Universal pretty well, but for some reason I can't recall it being metallic. Just seemed like green to me at the time.

Of course there are countless other pictures that definitively show this board as being metallic green.

Thanks! I realized that doing a wood board would look more professional and more like a real-world item, as well as probably being less prone to making mistakes. There's a couple of board flaws that I want to fix but to be honest, you don't see them as much when the graphics are applied. I feel that I wouldn't have made them if it was a wood board, but I don't know for sure.

I wonder if Universal Orlando has any hoverboards on display...I doubt it, but hey, wishful thinking. :lol

I have no idea why the hoverboard colors are so hard to get down...looking at my pictures again, I see the prop board has a much more greenish hue than what I got. There's a couple of photos that's much more teal and closer to my board:

But the majority of them lean towards metallic green...

And here's a board that's not really metallic...I GIVE UP!! :lol

I think it's just the camera flash that makes it look teal. I'd go with metallic green and leave it at that. Your first colour looked awesome.

The one I saw at Universal was the same one that has non-metallic paint. I've got some pretty cool pics of it on my old computer... I should dig them up sometime.

I'm going to do a test paint job on another board and see if Testor's Lime Gold Metal Flake with the Grubber Green will get me what I'm looking for.

Maybe I also inquire about those graphics? I purchased one of those 1989 No Tech skateboards, and I would like to preform a little restoration and slap on the graphics, rather than repainting.
