Re: NIKE, you can go to hell. I'm making my own NIKE MAG's *White Part* post #482
Ok, that's good. The reason I'm asking is because I've finally been able to put my finger on something with some of your latest pics. An adjustment that I think can be done simply in the cutting of the foam, and not requiring changes to the "last" or anything major.
On a direct side-by-side comparison, I think the tall ankle area (A) is too big from front to back. There is a large flat area there compared to the official 2011 shoes. This is evident when comparing "B" also. The notch on the side of the tongue is also quite a bit far forward from the front tip of the heel piece (dimension "C").
For a while I thought... nah.... it's just a matter of the existing proportions of Mark's sole and heel piece, but when you look at the position of the most rearward lace relative to the "hump" on the side of the sole, it also looks like the 2011 shoes have it past the hump towards the back, whereas you have it just forward of the hump. You may be able to shift everything backwards and lessen dimension "D", as the front lace seems to be more forward as well.
You may have had reasons for placing things the way you did, and don't get me wrong, I'm still blown away by this thread with every update, but
I just wanted to offer these observations before you make your final shoes.
