LOL! Quite interesting, but markpoons are far better in my opinion. You can get the lights in his as the rubber is transparent, the only thing that needs changing is the leather (barely!) strap as it crumbles everywhere. I am in the process of changing mine to real white leather.

Great job S02. I know what you're trying to achieve with the Nike logo, over the straps etc. but I would personally just make it smaller and/or use markpoons one, it looks a lot better as that's far too long.

Apart from that and the lights needing a rubber surround, spot on! thumbsup

Not really an update on my progress but now i know that building the shoe and heating it then to form the sole part is not the way to go.

the foam shrunk just after a few minutes. So this is the third shoes i messed up.

Next step now is to wait on some professional shoe making tools to start to build the form again.

But the material is now stronger than it was bevor, not that easy to cut ore even shred. can't wait on the materials from the shoemaker, i think it will help me progressing way faster.

Quick question Brad (possibly)... I'm having a nightmare finding some turqouise el tape for the Nike logo on the strap, and even when I do, I'm told that they have to cut the tape specially and that you can't just cut it to any shape yourself, is this right? I THOUGHT that as long as you had the pos and neg wires ran along the bottom, you could cut above into any shape you wanted?

if you could post the place where you got your el tape and a little how to, that would be great. Did you use turqouise for the Nike logo or blue?

Jedifyfe are you planning on trying to "clear" the yellow soles? I noticed you posted on NT also, I have a way of dying the rubber and getting it clear if you are looking to do that as well.

Also I wanna order a pair of fake off that site just for the heck of it, but how can I do it? any help?

I'm interested in this dye. How exactly does the dye change the yellow tint throughout the entire thickness of the rubber (around 3mm)? A local rubber specialist said that the pigments cannot be changed throughout. I can only imagine the outside surface can be changed if at all possible.. :confused

Did you also get your inverters from there too? I have had a look myself (not being lazy) and they appear to be far too large for these shoes on that site..? I've noticed yourself and S02 using a tiny little inverter that attaches to a 9v battery. Would you mind sharing the company?

He just doesn't know the "trick" to it, I've been a shoe Customizer for about 10 years now, NIKE's, Jordans, Ect. They can be "dyed" if they where at one point clear
