Nike Mag's - It's About Time - VIDEO!

Exactly what is pictured. Just watched the DVD. Dissapointed all those videos on Youtube were not included (the "Making Of" featurettes) so looks like I will have to rip those from Youtube...

Congrats Jimmy!

My biggest question is: Is that a seam that I see on the inside part of the shoe?

Yes.
Any questions you have Brad to help you with your replicas do not hesitate to ask. I will take pics upon your request.
Tried thiese on. SOOOO glad I got a size 8 - they fit PERFECTLY, nice and snug, comfortable. They feel like they were designed really strong.
Speaking of pics.....I almost forgot the obligitory Hoverboard pic....

Lemmie recharge my camera battery for a few mins and then I will compare to the Poon sneakers....I can tell you right off the bat they are night and day....

Nice low # generalfrosty i got mine an hour ago got #1470 size 13s not that the edition number means much on these but its nice to see a low # none the less. these are awsome and will make a wonderful addition to my collection.

Pay no attention to why I painted the Poon sneakers white. I liked them better than the yellow rubber. Here are comparisons....

Some more details;
The box is very strong and heavy - even without the shoes inside.
The shoes have that GREAT "new sneaker" smell, but it is a unique smell - not like typical sneakers, but still a "new" smell. Gotta love the little things in life.
The white heel piece is perminently glued into place along with one side of the strap.
Holding these in person answers alot of long-standing questions for me, especially the details of the clear outsole:
The side (midsole) pieces are glued on seperately and have a "waffle" indented pattern. The bottom (outsole) has a "pyramid" raised pattern.
The upper, as Brad stated before, is very stiff - feels like a very hard foam.
These suckers feel like they are built to 'last' - they are very strong and should hold up well through wearing casually. They really feel like well-made sneakers and not a cheap movie prop - good news.
As I stated before, the DVD is rather sparse - my only dissapointment.
It includes 3 versions of the commercial, each a different length,
the "Marty's closet" teaser
and the product video.
I am very dissapointed that the fallowing videos were not included:
2011 Nike MAG | The Full Story - YouTube
2011 NIKE MAG | The Details - YouTube
2011 NIKE MAG | A Look Behind the Scenes - YouTube
Tinker Hatfield - Designing The Nike MAG - YouTube
Most peculiar is that the auction stated that the DVD would include an interview with Tinker Hatfield. This is not the case. Im guessing the DVD was rushed in favor of spending more time getting the shoes ready for the auction.

These sneakers look so good. Again congrats on getting them. Would you be able to take a picture with them on your feet with a pair of fitted jeans? Curious to know how they look. Man I wish I had these :(

No email with any tracking info, but the UPS truck just pulled up. Very nice shoes!

I saw the license plate, but didn't even look at the back! LOL

I wonder what happens when you "authenticate?"

Congrats! Looking great!

Can you send me the dimensions of the sole and also the height of the shoe? I'm excited to compare these to the original. But from your pictures on the hoverboard they seem extremely close to the original size if your Hoverboard has the same dimensions as an original.
Won't get my shoes until mid oct. (I'm in Europe at the moment).:thumbsdown

Here are pics of the COA. Unfortunately, the link to register the shoes is currently not active:

Track 2 "The Future" seems to be the best choice to listen to while opening these!
And right after reading that, I loaded my music player to load the BTTF 2 OST and played The Future track while checking out rest of your post and pics :).

Cool shots including the comparison ones. And I love the fact that you captured the BTTF 2 poster in the background in most of the shots :cool. And that's a great choice for COA.

Once again congrats Jimmy, it's being great seeing the progress especially seeing your initial struggle to buy these from 2 weeks ago, then the anticipation with the arrival and now these sweet unveiling photos :thumbsup.

I agree. While it kills me that I don't have a pair of these, I take solice in knowing people like Jimmy and Mike have these and that they are not some celeb that only wants them because of their exclusivity.

Thanks brad and not for nothing this is kind of bittersweet knowing you didn't bite on these :unsure.I really wanted you of all people to enjoy this with us.Once I see these shoes in person it's gonna be some moment for me.Brad your the reason I'm in this forum to begin with and Back to the future is what led me to you because of your USA today papers, you are MR.BTTF in my eyes dude.I alway's laugh when you used to get me to buy other props besides bttf :lol.Well I did but alway's sell them to buy MORE back to the future props :love.Anyway I plan on making a really cool video of these shoes and footage of me working on markpoons replicas showing off some techniques of everyones conversions:thumbsup.

very, very, awesome kicks.

I'm very disappointed Nike didn't release the Mags to all retails. Nike still could have made a win, win sitation for both sides, fans and the fondation.
All the BTTF fans, sneakerheads, geeks, nerds, etc... who signed petitions, wrote letters, did all they can to had these made would have gotten and pair.
And all the proceeds still could have gone to the foundation.
Of course A mass release would have meant a set retail price (less than an Ebay) but with a higher number in Mags, who knows if Nike would have received more, same or less funds for Micheal J Fox foundation, than from Ebay.
And I also have a good feeling Nike will not release these again, maybe hybrids like the Hyberdunks, we can just hope.

But Im glad some fans here were able to get a pair. And I agree with Jedifyfe, at least a true fan got these kicks. I bet Justin Beieber, Kanye West, etc got a pair cause its the cool thing now, bunch of posers.
