wow, what is the wire you're using, car speaker wire? That's pretty chunky looking, hope it doesn't make them uncomfortable to wear. On the upside, it should last forever.
You goanna do the whole EL panel installation?
Now's your chance to repaint the midsole, too. If you do it by brush like I did, make sure you use very fine bristled brush.

You had me worried after comment, so had to test wear them. All good. I could feel the wire with my fingers, but couldn't feel anything with my feet in the shoes. Yeah it should never need replacing.

For this pair, probably not EL just LEDs, but will for my display pair and a 2nd pair only to be worn only at cons and specialty events. Famous last words as I'll probably wear them everywhere once I see how cool the EL looks. Anyway, this pair are my kicks and is my experiment pair for these mods.

Right now I just want to get these back together and back on my feet. My Jordan 8s are not as comfortable.

really? I've always found my Jordan 8's super comfy, except in the middle of summer when they're too hot. The V2's are the same, when I took them up to central QLD in 2012 Xmas not long after I got them, they sure got warm during the day. They're great for Melbourne though - but I've never seen a single other person with V2's or even V1's down here.

My Jordans were purchased back in 09. Yeah MAGs are more suited for winter.

Actually I am having a similar issue as well except the issue is with the yellow LEDs. Won't work on a 3V supply, works nice and bright on a 9V supply but heats up. Added different resisters and the yellow almost faded out with red and green being OK - is series circuit.

Sole lights are done.

Yeah mine are on a 9v. Red is bright, yellow light up and the green is non existent. Think it's the voltage of the LEDs. I've found some you order are all different. I found some that are all the same and ordered them. Hopefully it'll work when they arrive. Loving ur clear soles cavx

I get that you might get different values when ordering a bunch on line.

In my case, I walked into the local electronics store and bought the parts, but it seems that the guys in the local store don't know as much about this stuff as they are supposed to and gave me the wrong values. I learned today that on my 3V setup, I only need resisters if the LEDs are 5V+.

Back part of the clear soles are now glued on.

The outrigger soles have a nice lean. There is still a little bit of work at the back to be done, but they are looking good.

I was wondering why we still see blue light at the back of your nike strap? You didn't use EL sheet, that's it?

Hi. I'm back. Still havering a problem with my LEDs. I ordered some new ones with roughly the same voltage. 2-2.4 Hooked them up, tested with battery and worked, just as b4. Hooked them to the shoe, and same happened again. Green still not working right. So now I've got LEDs the same voltage and used the resistors the jedifyfe recommend. I'm at a loss now. Don't kno wot to do. Can any1 pls help. ??

Hey Jordan. I was going to email you back. Most of us laser print the Nike sticker on clear sticker material and then use clear packing tape to seal the print. If you search the thread the Nike logo is in here.
