They don't light up or anything and aren't the most movie accurate if you care about that, but they are pretty comfy, I wore that exact model to walk to the shops and back just today and someone commented on them.
As for recolouring the V2 soles going yellow, the paint I found (described earlier in this thread) produces this result:
but it takes a long time, multiple coats. And it's a fiddly job. Takes longer than I thought it would. No splatter doesn't look so bad, eh?

Mags are en route, most supplies for the mod are here. I am nearly ready for the 'job'. one thing i need clarifying, the LED layout for both the left and right. If someone could please send me to a link of an idiot proof diagram as i don wanna mess up, just because i had to order the LEDS from the states and it would be a ball-ache to get more ( i know, no 12v leds in the UK, WTF) and im no electricain lols. Any help greatly appreciated. I have looked through the thread for this info but cannot find it. Cheers

I wore the repainted pair out last night and am sorry to say the paint wore off the soles very quickly. This paint may be pretty close to the right colour, but I guess it needs a hard clear matt cover over it so i can't be scratched off or something. Pity. On the upside, two people recognised the 'back to the future' shoes
Im kind of in a rut right now. I finally have enough money to basically buy any BTTF prop on the market right now, but dont have anywhere to display them. My barracks room is really small and i can't travel with all the things i want to buy. I'm probably going to have to send them all back home and get my family to keep it for a long time until I settle down.

DragonGalvy, if it was only the underneath that peeled or wore off, I would not be concerned. However if the peeling extended up onto the side, that would be of a major concern.
MitasTouch, keep the shoes in your room and send anything else back. The shoes are a cool display on their own or can be displayed with other items.

I only have the shoes and Mr Fusion currently. They dont take up too much room in my big luggage bag. I also bought an almanac, the Oh la la magezine, and the Blast From the Past bag. All of which i will keep packaged and stored away until I move to my next school for my scpecific aircraft.
