Hey thanks for that. WOW what were they thinking?

they were probably thinking like morons.

What is funny though is that they can easily do the EL lights in the soles and the Strap, and wire everything easily, but they chose not to for some stupid reason.

The battery is a crappy coin cell stuck inside plastic, whilst the leds are water clear, dim, and the sole leds are even more useless.

It boggles the mind how they redo the moulds for the soles and all that work, and then mess up on the electronics.

I am actually thinking that they didn't have a pair of the real shoes to reverse engineer, rather just worked off images. I found one a while back that gives the looks that the mid sole is darker than the upper which is what we got with the V2s.

How long does your 3V set up last?

Yes, They didn't use a mould of the 2011 release. They simply redid the original mold for the V1 knockoffs which themselves were based on the Mark Poon soles.
The same with the uppers. The V1 uppers were based off the Mark Poon, then the V2's were slightly changed but still based off the Mark Poon uppers.

If they had access to one of the 2011 shoes, they would have no trouble making a 99% exact copy. Since there was only 1510 pairs of the originals, it seems as though any early production pairs or seconds were not able to be obtained, otherwise we would have an exact copy now.

Even saying that though, they still can make a perfect replica just from images, but it seems they cut corners at every opportunity.
I'm surprised they even bothered going to the detail of having the texture on the grey soles and the heel, yet didn't bother fixing the easy stuff.

Even the clear soles they could have done the slanted part, but obviously did a quick job.

They probably did it on purpose as the best selling replicas are Air Jordans, so thats why they come out with multiple versions fixing every flaw. That's where they get their money from.

Do any of you guys have a black and white image of the back to the future logo in a decent size? I am having a metal plaque made up for my shoe display, something like this:-

I may be able to do a run if anyone shows interest? I am debating what text should go on the plaque as I don't want it to be misleading that I have "the" shoes worn by Michael J Fox and I'm also wondering if I should call the shoe "Nike Mag" or "Marty's 2015 shoes" any thoughts?

How about Replica Nike MAGs V2.

I get all my plaques from a guy on here named feezlenuts he is very quick and can do any image you want. Id say he could even do a black and white image from a coloured image

That is it right there. They have not sold enough pairs to warrant the cost of re-tooling this shoe.

Jedifyfe would be the guy to ask for the graphic. I think so long as you put the word "replica" in the text, you'd be fine.

How about Replica Nike MAGs V2.

I think the only people aware that that these shoes are V2 are us. And technically speaking, this version of the shoe is actually V3 because the original replica was the MP MAG, then the PVC version, then this version.

I'd do it as "Replica NIKE MAG as seen in the film BTTF2"

I downloaded the BTTF font and did the logo myself, as for the text I think you might be right. I did these versions first but I worry that people could buy a plaque and try and pass a replica off as the real thing.

Obviously the white background would be a brushed metal look.

That looks good. Just add the word REPLICA either before or after MOVIE PROP and it will be awesome. Yeah for sure people will try and pass these off as authentic NIKE MAGs. Just check eBay and how many times we find reps for thousands. I will report the ones I see listed like that.

I used to use Feezle till I found a guy doing them cheaper. But here is one he made me for my mags, great finishing touch I think ;)ImageUploadedByTapatalk1396419874.820075.jpg

It's in storage at the moment but I'd say 3 1/2" long by 1 1/2" high. It's a not bad size. I also got one made by another RPF member for my BTTF jacket which will be used on the mark poon jacket as it's 1000% better then my one lol

When does the MP jacket come out? I am getting ready to do mine and would hate to make a start only to see a commercially available product is released.

He is still getting it made up. The sample is pretty much done just needs to change the pockets and collar. He is starting the cuffs and waist cuffs now. He should be done in a month or two, but I beleice he said something about august timeframe.

Do we know a rough cost? I want one :)

I've done this if somebody is interested.

Awesome thanks Vormz. I will see what this will cost to get laser engraved on a piece of 10mm clear.

cavx this is what mark said the other day.

Hi Guys,

I have received PMs from members who want to know the price but at this point, we're still in the prototype stage so I can't confirm the price yet. What I do know is that the jacket will not be cheap, those looking for a "good enough" jacket should go for the B@MJ or that $61.99 version on eBay. In my years of collecting, I have only seen 2 jackets that are accurately made; Edward H & U2fan24's jacket. I think Ed made a few & they were sold privately for over $3k & Aaron's jacket sold for $1.6k on eBay recently.

I'll be taking orders for the jacket here when I'm done & I'll post the size chart so you guys can choose the correct size you want. I will be selling the rest on eBay for a much higher price. just to give you an idea of what I mean, my run of Jumanji boards only cost $480 here but I'm selling them on eBay for $1.5k*
