Those photos are awesome reference shots. Whose shoes are they and did you get to handle them?

Ye they are great, I requested them from Dinoignacio last year on the Nike Mag knockoff thread to assist me in making the Nike strap logo spot on, so the text reached the boarders and to see how accurate the Cloneprops buckles were (hence why I only use them)

I like the cloneprop part too. I just wish the smaller size was still available. Especially for my US8s. The mediums look OK on the US9.5s.

Thanks cavx, was mixing cyan and yellow though and adding white as i mixed it. I didnt use any magenta. Hehe

Well i learned the hard way of cutting el as i delaminated some spots,(got zapped)but when it covered it up it didn't really matter. I wanted the EL sheet to sit inside the grey sole so it has more protection and also to utilize the half moon holes on it. I also trimmed the holes to make it a bit wider with a box cutter. Its not perfect and i panicked at one point but right now i feel very satisfied. Thank you rpf peeps! Here are some pics

I also decided to cut it this way and have it inside so that i don't waste much EL.

Huh, that is definitely a different approach to the sole EL. Never seen it done like that before. But, apparently it requires taking off the entire sole...

Yeah looks a little bit scary. I do look forward to the completed shoe.

His end result looks good, but does the upper have to come off altogether? Could the outer side just be opened up?

From my experience i think you can do this without taking the whole sole off, just the outer side part like cavx said and maybe poke a small hole on the fabric for the wires to go through the circuitry.I just did it this way because I'm modding the uppers a lot, i like the integrity of the shape of the cut-out piece and how it is secure inside the shoe(fits snug in the slot) like it was meant to be that way.

optiprimo, can you post a photo of the LEDs you removed?

These are gonna be cool if I can get the sole and heel cup lights connected. I will be changing out the white LED for a cyan one (probably Tuesday) and should have my NIKE logos printed up by then too. When turned off, the back plate will be white behind the letters. These are bright. This image was captured with a flash.

How big do they look on 8s? I messaged cloneprops about this very thing when i noticed small wasnt available anymore. He told me they were too small and the medium and large should be good for all sizes.

They are over sized on the US8 and even a tad too big for the US9.5. I use them because they are more accurate than the factory supplied part which I have cut up to allow the battery box to fit in my US9.5s. The 3D printed part just clips over the top like a cover. I've hot glued mine too so it won't accidentally fall off whilst I am walking in the shoes.
I am yet to mod these shoes except the toe which I did a few weeks back.

ok i seem to be stuck!,... thought my old man had a lazer printer but he has upgraded to a office style inkjet, and although we had some inkjet transparency film,,, it would not even feed through this machine,... sooooo i rang my closest printing company,,, they apparently dont print transparency?... ( are OHP's a thing of the past now i guess?),... and then i found a specialist printing company that do things like window pos, vinyl etc,.. presentation displays...... their response was, " we are sorry but the inks that we use would be somewhat transparent when lit from behind".....

i didnt think the strap logo would be so much of an issue?!!? HELP!!!!!

seriously though,.. can anyone help me out with this?,.. il pay for your trouble of course!

WOW not good considering mine cost about $3.50 today at a local Office Works including the printing and laminating of the Grays Sports Almanac.

In Melbourne, the libraries you're a member of let you print from them for a minimal fee. My local library uses laser printers. It might be the same where you are? Could at least check, right?
