Yes, of course. I have one :)

On Sunday I began making forms for new bucks with tapered ends, recessed handles and lids that will wrap around the body. I wanted the handles to be a part of the lids, but for Vac Forming, I may need to make the handles as a separate part and join it later.

Nice!! Did you make that tube case?

Yes I did. It is made from 250mm (10") PVC pipe. You can read the build thread HERE. I am currently working on a more accurate version that will be Vac Formed.

Here is my current BTTF2 collection which is comprised of:
The 2015 news paper [from Jedifyfe]
The NIKE FOOTWEAR tube bag [which I made]
NIKE MAG shoes [V2 Chinese made replicas]
Mattel Hover Board [Mattey Collector]
Dehydrated Pizza [Which I made, bag decal from the papr props section of the RPF]
I want to add a Pepsi Perfect bottle next. I have a 2015 hat on its way and need to start my 2015 jacket.

This is am image of the split I mentioned. Both shoes have this. I'll get some shoe goo and inject it into the split with a syringe.

Got the polished version of cloneprops 3D printed ankle buckles today and one has a split. What is the material is it and what glue can I use here? Both superglue and weldon DO NOT work. They are finished way nicer than the originals I bought and these would be ready to use if this one didn't have the split.

I've noticed that some of the sellers on Aliexpress have been out of stock on the smaller sizes of Mags. I originally ordered an 8.5 from Jason Lin and he was out of stock, so I settled for a 9.5 to use as mod fodder. The 9.5's arrived quickly.

Then I ordered a size 8 from China Koko and 10 days went by during the processing phase in which he finally messaged me and said they are still out of size 8, and waiting for a restock. Just an FYI in case anyone ordered smaller sizes and may/may not encounter a similar situation.

I messaged Karin Chen to see if she has these particular sizes in stock. Will be interesting to see if she is out of stock too.

EDIT: Karin responded and said she is also out of small sizes at the moment. Restocking soon.

When I ordered mine, I contacted them first to make sure they have stock. From there it was pretty fast.

I just did my first attempt on the soles so hopefully after 24 hours these will hold. I have just used a heap of superglue that I know is flexible and seems to stick anything to everything. I did make sure to clean both sides first. If this glue does not hold, I have a found a supplier of the Locktite Superglue. I was going to inject Shoe Goo but decided not to because it will fill the cavity in the sole under the rip.

So this one broke behind the grey centre and the other broke just in front. Given the lack of wear on the soles, I can't be that rough on them.

What a surprise I got today! Moviefreak aka Rich, sent me this really cool display plaque, completely out of the blue. It is really cool and I am proudly displaying it with my MAG replicas. A HUGE thank you to Rich! I love it! Thanks man.

Just jumping in here to say I've been silently following this thread since I last posted here, and you guys are all awesome!

I live vicariously through your shoes. :lol

Great display, Brad. That plaque just adds a nice touch that really makes those puppies pop...and they were already gorgeous.

Now carry on and make cool stuff!

Oh sorry for the double post! I forgot to ask you some questions. :$

What are the benefits and the disadvantages of 3Volts battery and 9Volts Battery ? Which method is better ?

When i opened the sole, i saw a long plastic strip ! I should remove it ?

And last question : How can i remove the wire of the USB CHARGER & Switch ? :eek

Best regards.

From having opened so many of these shoes up.

I can tell you that the front area of the grey soles (when you open up the front toe whilst doing the toe mod), some of the front of grey sole which is directly above the clear sole area. There is a small patch which is very very thin, almost paper thin, looks like someone scraped out a chunk before the mould was made.

It seems to be that when the original mould was made, they didn't actually correctly even out any thin areas on the grey soles.
So for example, if i took off the round clear bit of sole under the front toe, i actually very easily poke a pin through and it would pierce very easily.
Same with the back area also where the battery area is.

So the actual structure and strength of the grey soles is questionable! but the clear soles are protecting it anyway.

I think a thin layer of shoegoo or e6000 (same thing as its same company) is fine for sealing up any holes and will it make last really long.

Ok sooo since aliexpress doesnt ship to my house :wacko I'm looking for someone to help me out :thumbsup I'll put up a WTB thread in the JY with details

Hey guys, just stumbled onto this, and the work you guys are doing is absolutely dope.

So, I got home tonight and started searching for a guide to dissemble a pair of original Nike Mags. I was wearing mine tonight (only take them out a couple times a year) and a sorta well known rapper kept trying to get me to sell them to him and I wouldn't. He proceeded to "accidentally" spill champagne all of them, and im certain some electronics are shorted out... Pretty upset - I ****ing love these things!!!

With that, I was wondering if you guys had any thoughts on how to disassemble these, or there's a guide you guys use to take apart the replicas? Figure it might as well be a good starting place.

Thanks guys!

so do you have the original 2011 auction pairs or knockoff replicas?

originals

(but after seeing what you guys have done I'll get a pair of replicas to customize)

if the fabric isn't too damaged and you are able to get them clean enough, i'm pretty sure you could dismantle them carefully, but you will need someone with electronic experience to look at the circuit Nike designed.

The 2011 originals have a custom designed PCB board probably, with custom lithium battery and custom wiring.

It will be totallly different to the way we are doing it with these replicas.

But i'm pretty sure you could repair your originals if you contact someone who can understand the pcb board which Nike have used.
if everything is behind that white ankle piece along with the charge pin, then may it be a case of unglueing it, and then working out what has shorted out.

the ankle bubble leds are protected and the sole EL panels are protected with the clear rubber.
So it could be something has damaged the PCB (which i assume is in the white ankle buckle where the charging pin is located).

I doubt the wiring could get damaged, since its tucked away inside the grey fabric somewhere.

I don't think anyone on the web has really dismantled a pair of the real 2011 shoes yet, but it would be interesting to see what they actually did in their design.
