Hey guys I don't want to take this topic off subject. I was just wondering if anyone with the real mags can do me a huge favor and post pic back and front of the license plate that comes with the Mags and the size of it ?length and width

Thank you very much also does anyone have an extra pair of v2 there willing to sell in the US????
Thank you,

Henry

It seems people think the MAGs are a run out. I have just sent an email to Karin Chen asking if she still has MAGs for sale and she just emailed me back stating she does have the shoes for sale.

Well I just ordered and bought another pair from Karen's AliExpress store on Monday, so yes they are still in stock!

And I ordered my 2nd pair this morning. So why are people saying these are sold out or asking if anyone wants to sell their pair?

My first set was 5 days. That is using EMS and is fast for international. Our local post can take up to takes 8 days from interstate.

update on the super cheap auto fabric spray, i tried spraying it onto a cotton bud and rubbing onto the midsole and heel cup of a small area of the v2's which is currently drying.
As of now, it looks a bit dark, though it does the job. I'll see after a few hours of drying, and compare to the always-boxed version.
The yellowing midsole sure is disappointing for the idea of having them always on display :(
As an afterthought, i tried doing the same to a small section of the silver coloured 'body' of the silver and white with gumsole v1's. That material is much less porous so you'd need a few coats for that but I think the grey would work better for recolouring the v1's (and perhaps their midsoles as well) than re-dying the v2's midsoles.

If that grey is the same as I used on my V1 soles, then yes it is too dark. On a scale of 1 to 10, ideally we want a grey about 3, but this grey is about 5 or 6.

Finally got around to taking a full body picture with my modded V2's. I'm definitely happy with the overall look.

Looks great. By the way, is that a TV behind you or a gateway to another dimension? 'Cause that thing is frakkin huge...

On the yellowing issue, it looks like what is needed is a UV stable dye like this to put on the mid-soles right out of the box: Colorbond - Features and Tips. Click on the color chart button—there are several light grays, and one should work. Of course, the turquoise splatters would need to be re-applied.

Looks great Robert! Very nice costume.
Is that the Sharp 80" LCD? That thing is big.

I guess that's like a dashboard/vinyl dye? Good idea, I can see that working well to restore the midsoles. If it restores yellowed and discolored car interiors, it should do the same for the shoes. And unlike a surface paint, it shouldn't crack and peel. Only problem being, like you said, re-applying the splatter.

Hopefully automotive interior "protectant" will keep the yellowing from happening in the first place. Time will tell.....

It's actually meant for car seats primarily, so it's supposed to be super tough. Also, it's a dye as opposed to a paint film, so it wouldn't ruin the textured surface of the midsoles and it wouldn't just scrape off.

They also have clear top coats. I would apply the dye, then the new splatter, followed by one of their clears. Of course, the clear by-itself could be applied over non-yellowed soles, but I would rather just go ahead and re-dye the gray with the UV-stable dye, then have the UV protectants in the clear be added protection.

Just be careful with step 2 (clean with acetone). DO NOT get that stuff anywhere near the cuff or it will eat it away. I learned this on a pair of V1 as the trim on the tongue was the same stuff as the cuffs on both V1 and V2.

Will a hair dryer be hot enough or does one need a heat gun? I have access to both.

Thanks guys!
Yes it sure is! 3D too. I just wish someone would make a 3D conversion of the movie for us to enjoy, since we havent gotten any holographic 3D theaters yet. ;) I still love watching it in 2D.

So how does it look using the 2D>3D conversion on the TV? I find this feature a bit cheesy. It is OK for depth, but there is no real pop out effects. If done at the studio level, 2D>3D conversions can be quite good and the holographic shark in 2 would look cool.

I will private message you all the details you requested. I don't wanna step on any admin toes here.

I did that strap mod by applying the 'loop' side of the velcro to the 'hook' on the strap. It no longer catches the tongue and slides through the buckle now as it should. I've left the velcro on the other side so the strap can't slip.
